Cases like this make me so happy my boys are indoor cats with me supervising outside visits. Have read another article that 5 cats have been poisoned round the Broadfield area of Crawley where I live. Really hope its not someone posining them :mad:
 
Really sorry for your loss :( That is horrible. I agree with AFK_Matrix, this is just yet another reason my two are indoor cats. Someone was beheading cats in North Watford the other week (I live in Watford so it's not that far away from me) so there are just really evil people everywhere it seems :(

sorry to hear about Edd, seems to be an unfortunate yet common trend. My local community group is having a meeting soon as a result of 11 cats going missing in the last week.

Some nasty nasty folk about. Hope they get prosecuted

I just don't get it?! Harming innocent humans, terrible. Harming innocent defenseless cats, worse!
 
so we've been struggling with fleas for a while now, none of the spot on treatments seem to be working (we think floyd being so fluffy its just not working for him and its giving some refuge, my parents seem to be having similar issues with their long hair). the vet suggested some tablets, "oh great, that'll be fun" i thought..

but the boys were excellent, turns out although they were fairly large tablets theyre chewable. hugo just muched a crumbled up one (but he will eat pretty much anything), floyd took a little more coaxing by mixing it in some meat and dreamies but he's much more fussy with food.

turned out to be no fuss at all :D hoping they do their job now.

in other news, hugo loves the sink..

Unfortunetely Red Knights suggestion might be the ultimate solution if the pills dont' work :( I assume you have fumegated the house and washed the sheets etc?

Cross fingers the pills work!
