Show us your kitty cats

Well, I'll post mine here as I posted a few of my parents' cats back in the beginning of the thread. For all of you who haven't seen them, my two new kittens are from Pinter75 and his thread I haz kittenz.

Also where they originated on his web-cam site Poo Cam (Mimi and Rambo, now Dexter)

Here they are the first day we had them:

Awwwwww!

Glad you took two of them, cats are always happier when they're with another from their litter :).

He's an indoor cat now, used to be outdoors when he lived in Aberdeen. He moved to Perthshire and he never ventured further from the garden and now he's in Glasgow he hates going outside and now just stays indoor. (Family circumstances meant he had to be moved about - but he's been with me for over a year now and is all happy.)
I'd say he'd lost a little weight, nothing drastic and he was a bit chubby before.

Was at the vets a few weeks ago for his boosters and he was given a clean bill of health there.
I'm hoping he's just being a fussy git in his old age, and he'll gobble up the dried food tomorrow.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with him. If he was on the chubby side and has leaned out a little, this is a bonus - fat cats or any animals are no good.

Obviously, if he continues to lose weight into the Winter (when he should bea gaining a little, as its the Winter), then there would be something to worry about.

Also, don't confuse getting thinner with malting. During the Summer when cats lose some of their fur, they appear thinner than in Winter.

Just keep him on similar food to what he was on, when he was behaving "normally".

Originally, I thought that perhaps he was an outdoor cat and may have been getting his food from elsewhere, hence, eating less at home.

BTW, is he neutered?

Yeah, wasn't too concerned. He's still being his usual terrorizing self, just a bit odd that he's not eating. I've got a trout cooking in the oven, so he'll get some of that. If he doesn't eat that then I may worry some more (because it obviously has nothing to dowith my cooking ability if he doesn't eat it ;)).
Yeah, he's neutered and fully vaccinated. He just turned 13, so it's only normal for him to be getting a bit cranky and obnoxious!

At that age, it is also common for their metabolism to slow right down. As they get older they need to eat less and less.

I wouldn't worry.

From what I've heard, as they get older, they get moodier.

Pookie is awesome! Is he a normal Moggie long hair?

Looks slightly like a Maine **** to me, looks quite large!

Good catch - he has got some Maine **** in him. He was adopted from the local shelter so we don't know his history, but there's definitely some ****-cat in his genes. He is quite a character as you can tell from the pics - and far too smart for his own good!

I'll post pics in a bit we got a couple of kittens 2-3 weeks ago, i usually give them whiskas or felix kitten pouches which are about £3 for 12.

Can I get anything cheaper and if so where from, I dont want to feed them dry stuff.

I go to Pets at home and bulk buy. I buy the felix kitten pouches (mine are 3.5-4 months atm). They are like 2 packs for £5. I usually buy 4 packs so 44 sachets for £10.

I also buy go-kat kitten dried food (£3 for 1kg?). It is good to mix up their food, apparently a ratio of 2/3 wet to 1/3 dry is good. This helps their teeth (dry) but also gives them wet food for water in take (good as they get older can get kidney problems).

Give them a small tin of tuna over the course of a day with dried food about once every two weeks for variation.

Post pics please!
