Show us your kitty cats

I go to Pets at home and bulk buy. I buy the felix kitten pouches (mine are 3.5-4 months atm). They are like 2 packs for £5. I usually buy 4 packs so 44 sachets for £10.

I also buy go-kat kitten dried food (£3 for 1kg?). It is good to mix up their food, apparently a ratio of 2/3 wet to 1/3 dry is good. This helps their teeth (dry) but also gives them wet food for water in take (good as they get older can get kidney problems).

Give them a small tin of tuna over the course of a day with dried food about once every two weeks for variation.

Post pics please!

Are they at the point where they can nom raw chicken legs like (rottys? or sumas or tanks) Bengal?

if so film it, the pics of them trying to eat something nearly as big as their head where great :D

Haha! At the moment probably too young but it might be something I will try in the future. It wouldn't work too well because in the food steaks Dexter is becoming a bully/fatty and would push Mimi off it.

My Bengal, this was taken when he was about 7months old. He's now about 10months.

I have way more. He's grown up to be a big, handsome guy. At least 5kg now.

Thats a good looking cat you have there. What breed is she?

looks scarily like one of our cats although a bit slimmer (possibly because of climate and being female ?)

hes just a moggy but get a lot of comments about his looks

Can you post some of the grown up pics?

My own Bengal is big boned, though he is unbelievably thin. No matter how much he eats, he doesnt get fat and remains thin.

When he was about 6-12 months old, he was the opposite and was fat.

Haha! That is quality! That picture could easily be Dexter, he looks quite similar although he is just a Moggie.

Didn't even think you could give cats raw chicken but then again it's not like they are ever going to cook it themselves so it makes sense :D

Our cats eat more dried food than wet.
Our older cat (13 year old) has bad teeth.
She was stray for a few weeks before she went to a shelter and then we took her on.
However her teeth have suffered and the vet told us that wet food would only make them worse.

If you do go for wet food you should go for the "in jelly" over the "in gravy" as it is a lot better for their teeth.

With regards dry food - avoid Go Cat.
Because of the colouring and artificial additivies in it - you're doing your cat no good and you'll also have them bouncing off the ceiling.

Interesting, thanks for the Tip. I want to give them dry food mixed with the wet but budget constraints don't really allow me to spend a fortune on the science plan stuff.

Is there a brand that is reasonable price that is ok for them? It's mainly to mix in with their wet food really...

Will be posting in here soon with my first cat :D

Neighbour had found a stray only a few weeks old and has put sign up in all the local shops. We move into our first home in about 3-4 weeks so we've told her we will have it if its still available. It's all white with two small black dots on the top of its head. Awesome looking cat!

Replace mighty with "fatty fatty fat fat fat" and I think you are there! Haha! He is quite a behemoth! Standard Mog?

In the second pic it looks like you have stretched him with PS, almost looks like a prawn! Good lols :)

HAHAHA! He is a rather large cat. He is a standard cat, but he is just really big, although he does have a bit of a belly as well. His sister, Sylvie, is TINY compared to him!

Serge is fat. My sister's cat is about the fattest cat I have ever seen in the flesh. Unfortunately, I do not have a pic of my sister's cat.

He absolutely loves food and when he was at my place for 2 weeks, I had to put him on a strict diet.

Put it this way, I once left the door open by mistake and he had full access to all the food (just like the other 3 cats had) and he managed to eat more food in that short time than the other 3 cats did, put together.

Needless to say that he was not given any more food for the remainder of that day.

Mowgli's not exactly fat, but he has a lot of muscle and his fur is quite short, so he weighs a lot more than you'd expect. I thought that he'd get pudgier after being neutered. It seems as though his energy is going in to growing, though.

He was fed on chicken thighs and wings quite a bit during his childhood, but only gets them as a treat now. We give him Hills dried hypo-allergenic because Royal Canin gave him skin problems.
