RIP Mr Jester

So sorry, I know exactly how you feel, lost mine a couple of years ago.

Still miss him. :(

Sorry for your loss cainer, I know how you feel. They truly are a part of the family, and it's heartbreaking when a cat goes before their time.

cainer.

Sorry to hear of your loss - he was a nice looking cat.

You have all my sympathies as I have had a few put to sleep - Not an easy time but pain will go and you will remember the happy times he gave you.

I'm so sorry cainer :(

Does anyone else's cats wait for them to come home? I regularly get home in the evenings to find Lola sat by the wall outside my house waiting for me to arrive. My heart melts every time :)

I did have one years ago - he adopted me over people down road and he was my slave - I could do anything to him and never once did he put out a claw - He used to sit by gate waiting for me - Wife said if I was late he knew and never moved then suddenly he would sit up and walk out - I would drive down lane and he was there sitting in road - put him on dash - went down road to turn round - He just sat there - (was a Transit)

Let him out at 10.50 one night - heard a car race by and found him next lunch time - not a mark on him.

Must transfer old pictures to PC. Mate named him Winky cause he had one ear. - well one and half.

We've had two that did. The stray moggie that adopted the family when I was a baby used to wait at the corner of our road and the main road and walk with us back from school. He was a proper hard cat, but soft as anything round me and my sister. Mum says he used to guard outside my room when I was 2/3 years old and had an afternoon nap. She knew when I'd woken up as the cat came to get her.

Fast forwarding on twenty years.... the current family cat would wait at the top of the drive for me to come back from work. As soon as I got through the door it was playtime, I wasn't even allowed a brew until he'd had 10 minutes chasing a mouse on some string.

Our two cats are now 8 months old and we're still feeding them three times a day. They share a packet (100g) between the two of them, so essentialy they have 150g of food, plus pretty much unlimited dry food (we just keep the bowl topped up, wrongly or rightly).

They're always excited for dinner, but they don't always finish it.

At what point should we only feed them twice a day, and when we do, should they get a whole pack of food each, each time? Whenever we've tried giving them a whole pack each they just leave most of it, so it seems a waste.

Last visit to the vet and they were normal in terms of weight, size, etc.

When you notice them getting fat/round.

Give them half a packet each, 3 times a day if you want. Just reduce the amounts. Play it by ear. There is no wrong/right.

And, you dont need a vet to tell you if your cat is under/over weight. As a human being you will know when something isnt right.

If your cat looks like this or this- you've got serious problems. :p

Haha, ok, so just common sense needs to be applied then. I think it's working fine as it is so we'll stick with it, me going home for lunch each day isn't an issue as I only work 10 minute walk away.

Bought this Dog bed for Ronnie this morning - Ronnie get's thrown out last thing at night and get's fed in shed which has a cat flap - He wasn't interested in home made beds so got him this.

Put it on bed till tonight and lo and behold
