Its not often i get a picture of her as she dosent sit still for long, she is coming up for 6 months old now, booked in to be spayed next week....

no mate, might be moving house soon so its likely to be a long time till i consider it, we've missed your curry pics :)

Never say never cainer, i thought i would never have another cat when my 14yo passed away two years ago, just over 2 years later i have two of the same breed with a year and half apart age wise, it just takes time to get over your current loss and then pick yourself up and brush yourself down, start again if you can :)

Just an update. Kat the cat I rescued, is away to her new home there now. I'm gutted as I had grown attached to the wee thing. Never had such an affectionate cat in all the cats I've owned :(

She's off to a good family though and the husband is a vet assistant so I know it'll always be in good hands. Thanks to everyone who donated to her vet bills too. Gutted to see her go but as the saying goes...if you love them, let them go.

cya Kat.....

poor quality photo but the death one is still as charming as ever.

thinking about getting him snipped he's made decent growth in the last few months from being 500g under weight @ 12 weeks

he's a july cat so any tips on on timing the snip or should i just let him grow till he starts spraying.

He doesn't go outside and the other cat is spayed so we're not at risk of making kittens.

only ever had females in the past so not sure when the best time to get it done is.

I would suggest as soon as the vet says that he's got enough weight on for anaesthetic. You don't want him to spray at all - it reeks for days even if using bio-active agents to clean it.

"Bro" hug..

When Hugo is not ready to get off your lap there is nothing you can do other than to pick him up and carry him..

Time for me to share. Here's a painting of my parents' last cat, Wedgie:

He died long ago, alas, and I'm allergic to cat dander. :(

ETA The painting was done by my mother.

Sadly we are having to move Felix on. He will be going to my fiancée's dads place, so we're keeping him in the family but I think he is just too bored of being an indoor cat (he's always been an indoor cat). Thankfully they have a garden and the road is quiet so he will be able to eventually venture outside.

I had both of mine done when they were between 4-5 months. It hasn't affected their growth at all. They're both 4kg+ almost 3 year old cats now.

No one mentioned it might stunt their growth at any point.

Cool mine was 600g at 12 weeks so there was no chance of getting it done a 16 weeks but he's grown so much since Christmas I'll take him to the vet for a check and go from there
