Show us your kitty cats

My kittens are growing exponentially, it's crazy. Tilly is a loving as ever, follows me everywhere and if I'm at the work office, she will sit on my office chair until I'm home, bless her :( Jess, who was usually skittish has become extremely loving at night and in the morning, plenty of head butts and licking, I'll pay the cat tax soon :p

They've taken to staring out the patio doors now, can't wait to get them spayed and let them out so they can explore

Thanks all, yes she's a stubborn little cowbag, she already wants to get up and go exploring every time we open the cage to give her medicine and clean her tray and bedding, seems to be healing up well so far :)

As you say, very lucky indeed to come away with (relatively) minor and survivable injuries (not to mention the timing, 2 months later and we would have had to pay an extra 20% excess on the insurance!)

Not sure how much she will learn her lesson though, we've been looking at "cat proofing" the back garden, but it isn't cheap!

Mine was very sensible. She didn't need constraining when she was hurt, she voluntarily sat on her bed for six weeks, lol.

When she was better, she would literally run away when she heard a car coming. She was terrified of them. Having said that, it depends on the road. Country roads are the worst. They are quiet, animals think they are safe, then BAM, car comes out of nowhere doing 60.

I built mine a chicken run, so she could get used to the garden before she gained her freedom. She loved it, and it trained her in the use of the cat-flap (which took her about an hour to work out.). It also allowed her to meet the local cats safely. When I finally let her out, I was confident she would be OK and able to find her way back.

worried sick at the moment as elsa was off her food and vomiting a lot and not drinking either, she has been in the vet most of the week, she had surgery earlier on her bowel on several places, turns out a cat toy was to blame, scratched up and inflamed her bowel with bits of it that she had been eating.

hopefully we will get her back tomorrow all going good, she is 2 in december so hopefully she heals well and we get our darling back the morn.

the toy in question, if any of you guys have similar toys with nylon on them chuck them

Really? Good heavens. That’s a good lesson for us all. I hope Elsa makes a full recovery. Those fibres must be like tiger's whiskers - which apparently used to be used to kill people!

Aww, poor floof :( hope she makes a quick and full recovery!

Ember is doing well, healing up nicely, and all being well, following a (hopefully) final vet visit next Monday will be discharged :)

Still got a long 4-6 weeks stuck in her cage, which she really hates (waking us up at 4am every morning wanting to get out), but we're giving her plenty of (gentle!) cuddles in the evening :)

Here is my little gang, All of them are rescues and they all hate each but I like them all.

This one is Jessie, he was my neighbours cat before she died and the rest of the family didn't want all of them pets and was going to have them put down so we stepped and gave him a place the funny thing was a month before we was to take him off there hands he decided to move in on his own choice.
He has had a hard life, he is missing a back leg but that doesn't stop him climbing and doing all the cat things we have no idea on his age most likely 10+.

This is Misty we got her and her sister from a animal rescue place after they were they where given up due to a terminal illness she is 6.
She was the hardest to get used to us, she was so scared of people and hide for the first 6 months but I just went to to where she was hiding and talked to her and offered treats and then all of a sudden she started to walk to me and ask for treats it was very epic when it happed.
She also likes to wake me up a 5am :)

This is Ebby she is also 6 and after a months of getting her she was out and about.
As you can see she likes her food and is very large but we have a love/hate relationship.

I've heard that some cats are hypoallergenic, is this true and which breeds are they? (and I don't mean the hairless ones lol)

thanks for all the support guys :)

yeh big scar she had several parts of her bowel opened to get to all the stuff, she is on a pain killer and a anti biotic incase of leakage inside, just got to feed her frequently but small small amounts for the moment and shes back at the vet on monday to check her over.

so glad to have her back, we are all happy to have our pretty kitty back :)

had a wee look and hit this https://www.petmd.com/cat/general-health/hypoallergenic-cat-breeds

and this https://www.purewow.com/family/hypoallergenic-cat-breeds

hope that helps, im surprised the sphynx isnt the top one but seems like saliva and dander are a primary concern for allergies :)

i looked up ragdolls as well as they have no under coat and and shed less than other long hair breeds plus my 2 are half ragdoll and i love their affection lol
