My sweet sweet 20 year old girl, Missy, crossed over the rainbow bridge on Thursday after her kidney disease deteriorated quickly over Christmas.

She was such a special cat who dedicated her life to giving me and my partner an incredible amount of love and joy.

It's heartbreaking and we miss her so so much.

So very sorry to heat that. It is horribly upsetting when they leave. :(

20 years is a very good age. She had a fantastic long life.

Same thing that took my cat Bandit, went downhill so quickly.

Darn fireworks.
Jeremy is terrified of them, so I was planning to close off the cat flap tonight at 10pm.
He went out for a pee at 6pm and sure enough the local idiots started letting off fireworks.
One very traumatised cat - again.
They really need to ban fireworks for the home. They need to be for organised displays only.

Not had any fireworks around here yet.

My dog hates them and will sit there barking at them, The cats i'm not too sure with yet.

Have you tried having the tv up louder or other noises to try and cut out the fireworks or to make them not sound so loud or is the damage done already so to speak

We lost our cat Holly a few xmas's ago - Was the most heart breaking of all the cats we have lost over the years.

you have our thoughts. RIP Missy.

The most difficult for me was a cat I called Daisy. She was thrown out by her owner when she was about nine months old. She lived in their back garden in a cardboard box and was never allowed in. She had at least three litters before a caring neighbour scooped her up and had her snipped. Eventually, I heard about here and adopted her. By then she was twelve. She was the most caring, loving, and appreciative cat I have ever known. She died a year later from cancer. I am still so upset that she only had one year of comfort. There was never a more deserving cat. Fate can be a real **** sometimes.
But, you just have to accept that sort of thing and move on. There are always more kitties that need help.
