my last cat used to dribble a little when she purred, but rather bizzarely only when she was being fussed, if she was splodged out in front of the fire purring away to herself then she didn't dribble

I think they dribble when being pampered (especially when they start kneading) as it harks back to when they were kittens and the kneaded their mum for milk!

One of mine used to do it quite a bit lol

A quick question to you other cat owners, When your making a fuss over your cat, do they dribble? Sophie does and its always over a fresh shirt Ive put on.

My mum's cat Dave dribbles, especially when she is laying on people's knees. She doesn't unless she's being fussed over.

My auntie's cat Pugwash used to dribble too.

Thanks very much & yeah all of them are abyssinians. We've got a fawn as well but she's very camera shy despite her being a big sook.

It was interesting!

Tony doesn't like dogs....at all....

They'll be alright eventually, just 10mins a night having them in the same room restricting the dogs they'll soon learn to ignore each other, the dogs leanrt to do the same at my sisters horse yard, which has a cat who also doesn't like dogs.

Horrific circumstances led me and my mum to leave the house we were living in and ultimately leave my cherished cat behind.

Getting a new kitten tommorow, she is literally tiny and the cutest thing ever (tabby with a ginger face ), but im wondering how our current cat (who is 12) will react to a new cat in the house.

Goumera gives out drops of water from the corner of her mouth when we stroke her, she ocassionally purs - her brother purs so loud he could shake walls and he doesnt drop water

Did more cat introductions to the dogs tonight and instead of holding them both we just let them get on with it. Dog walked in, cat hissed, dog sodded off and ignored him.

He came to say hello again a few minutes ago, cat REALLY told him to sod off and he walked off again.

10 mins a night, and we'll be sorted by the time hes ready to go out
