Was that today by any chance? had a few friends over there running 2 GTO's, apparently the traction was shockingly poor!

If anyone deserves a flame, it's the guy that drives a Ford Galaxy, 2.0 diesel, for a family of 4 and 3k miles of annual town driving. The Motability scheme doesn't always offer sensible engine choices....

I'm willing to bet that you'd be one of the first to jump on the "living within your means" bandwagon if such a situation arose that she bought something that you approved of that she couldn't afford to run. Not everyone's girlfriend can afford a Crossfire or a 7 series remember. The anti-reality bubble strikes again!

The Lupo's a good car. No need to be a ****, Jez.

Come off it, Simon sums it up nicely in his posts, eye for an eye. Paradigm has had some good cars, and drives a pretty expensive one himself. That Lupo is horrible :p

Yeah but the amount of crap he gives out makes it rather ironic that he now thinks a yellow lupo is nice.

Living to means? He's just bought a brand new car for himself

What do my "means" have to do with hers? It's her first car, of which she had (much) less than £1000 to spend on it, it needed to be cheap to run, and cheap to insure. She has no ncd, and only held her license for less than 2 years, although she is 25.

Obviously the colour was not my choice in the slightest, I think the colour is, how you say, foul, but it's her choice!

Just to point out, i didnt bring means into it at all, the cost of it has nothing to do with it whatsoever.

I just think its foul and that you should have made her get something else :D

My stipulations were that it had to be something I'm willing to work on (ie VAG as I've got all the software and all the tools), and was mostly in favor of a MK1 leon, but they were all utterly garbage for the money.

Other than the fact that this one is yellow, it's in superb condition and will more than last the year that we need it for to get her an NCD. Shouldn't lose anything on it either, I can't see it depreciating below what was paid for it.
