Yep, only a 1.6 Sport but its faster than my old Fiesta, tiday and fun for what it is :D

Christ. Good attitude but that's a lot of money.

*shrugs* I bought it at £2700 under "book" price so I'm still up on the deal. It needed quite a few odds and ends sorting, new throttle cable, fuel lines, filters, alternator, exhaust sections, tyres, expansion bottle, rear differential bushes... I think that's probably about it so far.

The mechanics of the car seem fine, the chassis is in good order and the interior is generally ok, it needs the drivers seat sorting and a new drivers footwell carpet but that's no biggie.

Then it will possibly get a new stereo at some time, and some other bits and pieces.

Owning a car like this means that, unless you're daft, you expect it to break down and potentially cost a lot to fix (although it's amazing how cheap some parts can be if you know where to look, there's a lot of mark up on parts simply because you want them for a TVR. "You need a new window switch for your TVR sir? Certainly, that'll be £14.99 each please" Yeah, or I could buy them from RS components for £2.10 each :D) so you simply need to budget for those issues. I spent a lot when I first bought it but I knew they needed doing.

Hopefully from now on, provided I spend a bit on regular maintenance (although after owning classics for years I can do most of the servicing myself, the tappets are supposed to be a bit of a nightmare though) it shouldn't be hugely expensive to run.

Twin cam??????!!!!!! Lefal!
There's parts around Ireland where it seems one in every 3 cars is one of those ^, there are people who buy them just to do donuts around the beaches :D My uncle had one when I was about 10 and I remember it had a green light for when the turbo kicked in, I thought it was the most amazing car every made :)

That's awesome muggs, why you selling?:(

because i dont have a garqage and its always out in the rain. also because i like the car too much, i mean really i should not be liking a car the way i like the corolla, its ridiculous. im also becoming more religious and im not supposed to get hooked up on materialistic things like cars. ive too much love for it, this love would be better placed elsewhere.

sad to see it go, its the best car i ever had. seriously quick around the bends

lol its true the cams are legends in ireland, they say they are born in japan and retire in ireland. yep its a true 80's sports car. you still see 07 cars having drum brakes in the rear, this car is over 20 years old and had rear disks standard.

After owning this for 7 months, here is a before and after and some new shots.

Hrm, well, my car is a Toyota Starlet (No sniggering at the back there), had it for about a year now, but it isn't getting much love from me at the moment, as I'm at uni all the time.

Yes, I know it looks like a jeep, should hopefully be rectifying that soon with some Whiteline -40mm springs. And Hammerite'ing the rear drums is also on the list, as is removing the Solida badges of the sides.

Also, inb4 "Slipstreams are as common as muck". I do realise, but it suits the car :P
