That Chevy has a 6.2L V8? And knowing what old American engines are like, probably about 160BHP and as much torque as a small German diesel?

Iirc it's a diesel so you're probably about right with the BHP but waaaay off on the torque!

Spot on 6.2 diesel .

It's not exactly quick , 3 speed plus od.. Will do 95/100 at under 3000 revs in Germany....

However the torque is unreal, it would pull a house down

Ahh it is a diesel... I imagine if the roads were wider over here, it would be a very relaxing drive.

I assume it has the usual lazy auto box?

I used to really want a V8 van for some reason... I think it was because of watching School of Rock when I was a bit younger...

***edit*** the Turbo'd replacement was 360 bhp & 650 lb/ft (881 Nm) :eek:

Sorry Fox, I have had many saloon and hatch turbo diesels and nothing competes to this in most circrumstances, it has effortless push up hills and towing, and i mean effortless, it does not slow down in circumstances other cars do.

I know your the holy grail whos footsteps cant be followed on this forum but jump in the seat and try it rather than reading from the internet or textbooks.

Are you saying yours has more than 350Nm then?

I don't doubt it has great power delivery but Acme suggested it had torque levels similar to a small German diesel and it appears that he was correct in that ascertation?

Chopped my 2002 Clio sport 172 in for a 2012 Fiesta "Metal" , a bit boring but cheaper to run and more relaxing on my commute.
