Show Us Your Motors!

Yes! And then I shall come too, and I won't have the car with the smallest HP figure anymore! :p

Have a meet in Scotland and I'll come :)

Maybe not then! :p

I remember people suggesting that I should get one of those as a project car to learn basic mechanics on!

But, the unforseen issue is the price of rent of a garage like location to work on it...

loving it. I have a thing about oddball and rare cars. where did you pick it up about?

It certainly feels like it has all of its 26hp...

I would be up for that.. ill bring my old Audi A4 :D

Really just because...why not?

So good to be driving round in something so slow and quirky. Having to work out the 2 stroke ratio at the petrol station, having people tell me it sounds like it needs an oil change.

It's a laugh and that's what driving should be about to me :)

is there anyway you could put a self mixer in like some of the 2 stroke bikes got?

The mechanical side of things are so simple you wouldn't learn anything. The engine itself only has 5 moving parts and can be removed in around 30 mins with only 4 or 5 bolts.

A chap in East Kilbride, He imported it from Hungary last year.

I should hopefully have it at Tartan Tarmac events through August.

if I was putting a bike engine into something like that it would need to be a hayabusa engine. Ive seen a mini with one in it and it was bonkers

Trabants are awful things, not sure why you'd want to own one! I hope you paid three figures :p

Having spent 4 years in Budapest in the early 90s, I have many memories of those spiteful machines with their nasty blue smoke and paper chassis. Enjoy??

Can't wait to see this up close! Still think you could drop the SR20 in one you get that working....make it RWD or something.

I think a bike engine would be good in one of those... A nice 1000CC triple or something. :D

They've just made a film based on the series The Man From U.N.C.L.E. which largely features Trabis. For some of the stunts they made some cars with hyabusa engines in them. I can imagine it would be a laugh but these cars are all about the character for me, a lot of which comes from the crao engine.

They really are one of the worst cars ever made. Which goes full circle and makes them totally awesome.

I'm off a drive in him today. I'll get some pictures :)

Those have to be the most bizarre set of photos in this thread I think I've ever seen.

Not a single picture shows the whole car properly or the whole interior but there are numerous bizarre blurry close up shots of things like the indicator or the headlight

Grab your camera phone and pop back out and take a few nice 3/4 view shots showing the actual car, it looks quite nice! :p
