16" and I didn't spec the car :p

Just picked up some mint 18" S Line 5 spokes so those will go on as soon as I pick the car up.
I suspect it'll look a little odd sitting on stock suspension but too bad, it ain't getting dropped.

You should leave the 16s on there - the ride will be better and they're in keeping with the anti modern Audi spec of the car.

The missus' parents just bought an Abarth in that two tone grey/blue colour and it looks incredible.

Lovely interior but that turbo gauge is in a stupid position :(

Sounds pretty fruity as well :)

It is a turbo gauge:) I guess because I've owned a couple and spent a lot of time in them I don't really notice it any more. You very quickly become accustomed to it.

I really don't like them. Am I the only one who thinks they look cack? Add the price and I think they're woeful cars. Sure, I bet it's a fun little run around, but then you can say that about most little cars with a reasonable amount of power/weight.

Thats what opinions are all about! :)

Cant expect everyone to like it.

I personally love it (obviously...) Its extremely rare, it makes a great noise, its Italian, and I like the heritage of the brand.

I could have got a Fiesta ST or anyone of the 'better' hot hatches, I work for the BMW group so I could have got a Mini or a BMW...but I just find these interesting. It makes me smile!

Indeed. Not for me.

They are too 'chic' for my liking and they seem very expensive for the power/spec you get compared to rival cars. They seem to cost as much as the cars in the class above them (208 GTI, Fiesta ST etc) which all have more power and better spec.

I spec'd a 135bhp one on the abarth site to as close as I could get spec wise to my ST-3 (still a fair way off spec wise) and it came to nearly £17k list :o

They are more expensive especially the Competizione (which mine is). It's an illogical purchase based on emotion not economic reasoning.

My mother has the 595 Competizione albeit the 160bhp 14 plate version. She has the brown alcantara interior with grey paint. It's a smart looking thing and turns heads. I personally think they're very flashy and look great but the drive is lacklustre.

I find the Abarths niche is sub 50mph speeds. The pops/bangs and theatre of driving such a small car with poke is fun like a go kart but i'm not sure i could drive one all the time. I find it's handling and higher speeds a little bit twitchy compared to the Fiesta, it never really felt planted every time i drove it but maybe it's a marmite thing. Maybe people like it's front end behaviour and lofty rear.

But my main gripe, apart from the price, is that i just don't fit in them! :p

I do like them though and it's nice to have something you've gone after with your heart. Should have kept the stripes!

The lofty rear really does need sorting out. Interestingly this car does ride and handle massively better than my 2010 car. They seemed to have changed their spring supplier as this has eibachs from factory with the Koni FSD's.

I was torn over the stripes, but I do think it highlights the colour nicely.

This is the first time i've strayed off-topic on OCUK, just been flicking back enjoying the diversity of cars on here and thought I should probably get involved. I've had this for a couple of months now, it's my first car after sharing my parents. (just another Ford lol). C30 2.0D with some nicely co-ordinated options, heated seats and adaptive xenons are off the chain.

That's nice. I've always liked the C30. It's just a shame there aren't any decent petrol engines aside from the rather rare T5.

That's where the Sat-Nav prep goes in the standard model. Do you know whether it can be swapped out? Or do you have built in Sat-Nav to the instrument panel or something?

No sat nav on this, I don't think it's an option.

The recent 500 facelift has addressed that though with a centre screen but the Abarth won't see the facelift for a while I don't think.
