And also approx £30,000, to boot!

I'd rather the Mazda. As nice as that Audi is, that is staggeringly poor VFM! 37k is unreal, didn't realise for a second their price was so high!!

all these terribly slow heavy cars, this thread needs more race car......

No one pays RRP cash for these cars.
It'll either be a lease or pcp, with a final payment to keep the car or hand it back.

My Golf R Estate is RRP £34k but it's only costing me £8k over 2 years then I hand it back.

its my race car for hillclimbing next year........... still need to ditch the rear seats. i will take more pics of the inside after the mot :p

it feels like its doing at least 200mph when doing 60 as you can hear all the road and wind and tyre noise. Its very fun to drive as long as there are not straights longer that 1/4 mile.

I might bring it to the next OCUK rolling road day, so that the people with mx5's aren't at the bottom of the pony power list :o

also the stickers and orange wheels add 10hp each i was told.

I suggest you get a proper driver's seat.

I fall out of the driver's seat in my GF's Chevy Spark when I corner at even a remotely swift pace. Have to brace myself with my knee against the door. Not ideal :p

yes the seats in it are rubbish, but it has 155 section tyres on it so there is no lateral grip. the seating wheel is rubbish as well. actually thinking about it, its an alto so everything is rubbish. a part from the driver :D
What are your plans for it? Other than removing the seats.
erm. its a long term project inspired by project binki. the final car should have a turbo or supercharged hayabusa engine and 4wd. until i move out it will get stripped and springs and that will be it, maybe some better wheels and tyres.

i have seen a few mini and a fiat 500 at harewood hillclimb with bike engines and they are great. the only problem is i would get kicked out if i start stuff like that while living at home :p

Respect to the Alto haha, stripped out baby. Probably more fun than an S3 in my experience...

One time I was at blyton and there was a stripped out 1.1 106. Pretty much the same mould as the alto. Slowest thing there by a country mile but having a blast of a time with just lunch as a break for the poor thing. Credit where it is due the Peugeot took a battering and kept soldiering on which couldn't be said for mine as it blew a brake hose!

That doesn't sound any better either

£4k a year to rent a Golf
