Halloween Supra. . .

Wowzer, I bet you had fun in that ;)

Due to the options on the car and it's configuration, it wasn't as fun to drive as mine. I came away a little disappointed really, I've written a little write up in the Porsche thread.

The Turbo S on the other hand OMG, that's savage!

What is the difference between these two?

the new one has:
Espresso natural leather vs Black std leather
Lots of extra leather parts
Sunroof
Keyless entry and go
Dynamic headlights
TV Tuner (not bothered)
Ventilated seats
burmester speakers Vs Bose (this is really why I wanted to change)

all in all it has about 12k of extras more than my old car, I'm going to take a bit of a loss on the old one but the cost to change should be close to nothing.

I knew I wasn't going insane! I can think of a lot worse cars to have two of; my parents had at least five years of both having Mitsubishi Galants :p

Edit- if there are any Mitsubishi bods out there, would anyone know what model the more interesting one was? It was a 1993 Galant with four wheel steer and I think a 2l engine. It was a hot one with spoilers but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a VR4.

Great choice :) tons of kit as standard on the facelift sport, the Bose stereo is fantastic and the 2.0 engine has more than enough go. Still miss mine.

Indeed, I've been really happy with mine. Unfortunately it's making finding a possible replacement quite difficult because even newer stuff for more money doesn't have the same amount of kit.

My next door neighbours had 2 (and for a while 3!) identical circa 1995 Nissan Micras with near identical private plates. They had them for absolutely donkeys years too :o

Not bad for a first car, enjoy :)

thanks! :)

Indeed! things like auto wipers/lights etc are awesome! it has more than enough pull for a first car and over-all I'm very happy with it. The sound system is great! I sat in more expensive cars and it wasn't as good as this.

I was thinking a couple of years later.. MPS will be on my list once insurance is more affordable! :o

They're incredibly reliable as well - mine was on 167k when I sold it, and the new owner has thrashed it and never serviced it, and it's still going strong with no problems at all.

I've considered an MPS but I honestly don't think I need much more power. Most days to and from work I never get above 35 anyway, an MPS isn't going to make that journey any quicker!

Then there's the tax...

you're right.. hardly if ever do I get over 40 :) but it's just one of those things, in my case I need fun over economy :o maybe an r32 golf!

The mark 2 mps is arround £265( £290 Now!)

indeed, tax for this worked out at around £270/year(paid monthly) if I remember correctly..

I love you guys whining about your measly tax levels.

The tax rates are not particularly high, especially when you look at the car ownership costs as a whole.

Just did tax and insurance on my MK1 MPS the other day. Best part of a grand :p

Don't care. Still like the car. Sure it's not perfect, but it's never gone wrong once (apart from the fact it needs a new 2nd gear syncro lol).

My Fiat with a cage etc.

So much want, but I don't know why :(
