Yup, easy remap to 260 hp and 300 lb ft which is a lot in a Mondeo.

The 2.5T in the Mondeo and the S max Is 217bhp whereas it's 225bhp in the Focus ST and Volvo T5 models.
A single remap on the Mondeo will only take it to about 245bhp max.

Actually from what I gather, Volvo are conservative in their official numbers. People have dyno higher figures at stock.

The Polestar map takes it up to 250bhp and again, on a dyno it is just north of 260bhp. There are other ECU map from Shark that can take it to 265 stage one and take 2 takes it further with other mods.

I'll probably do Polestar at some point.

Engine bay shot now I'm mostly finished. Going to have to start making it look a bit more presentable now I've thrown money at it doing a turbo conversion

I'm still in debate about fitting an intercooler (Well sorting the pipework out, it has one mounted) or going down the water/meth route as it's so bloody responsive like this

Plenty of MX5s have been running TD04s with Greddy and HKS kits at 7psi for years, I'm also running premix methanol with Vpower to improve knock resistance

The pipework run that I had planned and ordered everything for wouldn't work so I need to rethink and order more pipework (or drive it somewhere for a proper hard pipe run to be made up

Looks fantastic, minus the mudflaps! What's the going price for these nowadays? Is it hard to find stock ones or ones that haven't been utterly molested?
