Show Us Your Motors!

As is completely normal, I drove into central London on Christmas day to make the most of it being empty. Stupidly we didn't take any photos very early on (completely deserted Oxford Street at 7AM, should have parked in the middle for a photo!) but did still get a few good pics. Went up there with a friend in the TVR, the F-Type is a random guy we bumped in to who was doing the same as us, so he ended up joining us for the last hour or so. Good day all round :)

Went for a drive up the hills. New front bumper and intercooler and bits and bobs after an accident during Christmas. Felt so good to have her back :D

Correct car for the job :)

But less so if its running summer tyres. :p

Good pictures! The Scooby in the first one looks a tad chilly. :D

Summer tyres make things interesting especially when they have less than 3mm :p The scooby had only been sitting for about an hour totally nuts.

Edit wee video - The sound is the wind not my fan

Brought the MR2 down to France. Did it in 2 stages, first going to Paris and staying with friends there, then on from Paris to La Turbie the next day. I've previously done the journey all in one go in the Jag and got out feeling fine, but this was easily twice as tiring despite much less driving per day. An incredibly loud exhaust, no sound deadening, no radio and perished door seals are not a good combination :p

Only one issue on the way down - a pipe popped off right at the bottom of the engine bay which made the car feel like it had about 50bhp. Thankfully a Parisian garage easily got it sorted. Other than that it was fine, which is surprising considering it's been abandoned in a driveway not moving for a year, then immediately had to do 900 miles. Credit to Rainagul on this forum for fixing it up for me, could never have got it running myself!

Thumbs up for that, I once did it in a FN2 CTR and that was painful enough and no exhaust noise to worry about, just silly bucket seats and low profile tyres. Once you've done it in a Jag you really feel anything less.

Probably never :p It's considerably more powerful than an MX5 and as any elite driver will tell you, power solves everything.

Those exhausts are a bit large :p What does it sound like?

there's a white MR2 that comes into my shop every morning, and that is LOUD!

my nissan 200sx had a 3" pipe all the way back to the engine, and that was LOUD!
so i think his was a 3" at least too
