Show Us Your Motors!

Picked it up yesterday and dropped into Karspa in Lincoln for a coating and touch up today. Brand new 17 plate E220d, AMG and this time I delved a little deeper in my wallet for the LED headlights! Last time I posted my A-Class I got bashed for not having the LED's.

I got 9 grand knocked off the list price so it was just a smidge over £40,000 on the road. £300 a month for 36 months based on 10,000 miles a year. Its a lovely car to drive, got plenty of poke considering its almost 2 tons in weight. 9 speed auto gearbox, Premium Plus pack as well as the 12in Digital Dash display, keyless entry as well as keyless go, multi-beam LED lights, dual sun roofs. Electronic seat control plus 3 stage heating. Command system.

Mercedes Boston lent me a 350d saloon whilst my A was in for some work prior to taking it in part exchange and the power of the 3lt was intoxicating. I got cut up by a boy racer on the A46 roundabout at Newark, buried the loud pedal and left him for dust! Whilst it was fun to drive, the airbag suspension meant the ride was super smooth I don't think I'd have a 350 for a regular drive. Even driving like Miss Daisy I was struggling to get 45 MPG whilst the 220d got about 58-62 MPG in Lincolnshire's country roads!

Really is a good looking car - Merc have done very well with the design. Shame the C class looks like a pigs left bollock.

I was first looking at the C Class but after specing all the options that I wanted as the price was getting close to what an E Class was and most of the kit was standard anyway. The C's interior didn't look that much better than my A-Class whereas the E looks more refined. Had a sit in the S Class they had the show room. You could tell that was designed for people who too much money to drive the car themselves. Still, 17 plate, S350d "used" 17 miles on the clock. £67,000.

@radar19 Stunning choice bud.. My Old dear has just done a deal on her car... she picks it up September...

Her current Car Mercedes A200

New Car Mercedes C220 AMG

Even the A class is very spacious I found and that's with my son in the back with a car seat... I will miss the A class as I think they are great looking cars but shes never happy with a car for long :p

I'll miss the A-Class but the ride is quite hard and the road noise is pretty intrusive. Still, it was fun to throw about in Sport Mode. I honestly don't know what magic Mercedes have got in that E Class but I'm getting better fuel economy in the E than I ever did in the A.

Not sure I can compete with an F40!!

Just picked up this July 2002 registered MG ZT 190, in pearlescent blue (Royal Blue). The pictures don't really do it justice. One owner (until me) from new, serviced every year, with 36k miles. The condition of it, except for the wheels which I am going to get done (and even they aren't that bad), is exceptional for a car that just turned 15 years old last week. Still has the original dealer plates on it, and the the disc holder, and the MG assist card in the glove box (!). It drives so nicely, I think these are criminally underrated, and a lot have gone to the dogs, or are in the process of it...a classic in waiting in my mind. I have a few bits to do to it, but it is literally like new...(pictures taken *before* I cleaned it!, will post some up in a few days. I shampooed the carpets, mats, polished it etc).

Awful, really? I've seen worse on brand new BMW's, Mercedes et all...they all suffer from orange peel. For a fifteen year old car this is remarkably good!

Man buys an F40 and motors talks about the garage floor  Can't you guys see its just whatever was to hand being thrown down to mop up the drool and other bodily fluids spontaneously ejected by the presence of such epicness.

Wooooosh.

Awesome addition to the collection @Adz

You need to post a 360/photosphere of your garage!
