Show Us Your Motors!

I'm not against tasteful modifications on any car, but can someone explain lowered and 'stance' cars to me? I see them quite often and they just look ridiculous and like the suspension is broken? Is it meant to look "well sick bruv"?

Some people simply like the look, I do like it too. Would I run my daily car like that static? No, but I'd love that on my project car. I always hated the arch gap and getting rid of it makes cars look much better in my opinion. Wheels that fill the arches properly and no balloon tyres also help ;)

It's just taste, something that's difficult to argue with. I enjoy looking at unique cars much more than your daily diesel BMW that's completely standard. But that's just me

I don't even know them, just parked up next to them to take the "three generations" pictures. They got out and did the same. :)

It was the Vanity BMW Beaulieu pre-meet.

There's something about an E36 on the BMW Motorsport alloys. (I'll just visualise them on the rear for now ;))

But I agree. People have completely different tastes in cars. If I was to exclusively track it - although I would use the E36 Coupe rather than Saloon/Estate - I'd have it with that stance, otherwise it would be raised by about an inch for general use (and wouldn't bother adjusting it for a show). Friend of mine had to take every speed hump sideways at about 2mph for that exact problem in his E36. :D

Why would you specifically use the coupe over the saloon for track work?

Quick research actually shows very little weight difference between the Coupe and Saloon. I thought there may have been a bigger difference, hence what I said above. Still prefer the looks of the Coupe though. :)

Saloon (without folding rear seats) has a stiffer body also, technically better for track work.

Plus no scene tax on saloons so a far better base for a track E36 :)

You'll pay silly money for a good 328i Sport coupe and then throw half of what makes it expensive in the bin.
