The engine is capable of way more (over 400 bhp with bolt on mods only, still retaining the stock turbo) but its limited from the factory to protect the transmission.
 
1+23 @ £249/month was the deal I started from , monthlies are slightly more as I added the winter pack (decided heated seats were a must, I think the winter pack adds about £11/month over the 2 years).

Very impressed with this so far, standard equipment level is pretty amazing, and the interior feels pretty premium really, a massive step up from the Mk2 Leon which had a vile interior. This thing feels properly quick as well, got to love turbo torque (280lb/ft) and 296bhp :D.

I like it really :) ....wouldn't say its boring/crap, I can't see it being the sort of car I'd go out of my way to go and drive like I would with the MX5, but the effortless performance and the extra refinement are a real gain given its my only vehicle and has to do everything. Its less of a toy, more of a grown up car.

Yeah plate I'm not a fan off, but I can't think of another place to mount it and I'm not sure if I like the side mounted plate. Whats the JDM size that's legal? I know there was a thing that import cars can wear smaller plates.

Just be on the lookout for one, you should be able to pick up a decent one with time. I'd say your MK2 was in good shape other than frame rott but that was still fixable.
