Try driving my S2000 on the motorway. I just drove down to Devon and back at the weekend in the S because my wife needed our other car and I'm utterly dwarfed by literally everything on the road.
Saw a silver one like yours on the M6 on my home on Saturday, I couldn’t believe how tiny it looked.
 
Try driving my Elise on the motorway...at night. I used to enjoy it but honestly I can barely see anything if I do nowadays as cars are so big and main beams so high and bright. It's just dangerous. Not its normal habitat, granted, but things have changed so much since I started driving. I used to really like a night drive in my first Elise many years ago.

Joined a flying club in November and have had a little under 9 hours tuition so far. Just started circuits today. Was quite interesting with the wind today. :D

Flying this little Cessna 152. Flat 4, carb, air cooled with a little over 100 BHP. About 90 knots in cruise.

Haha it's fun isn't it. I hope the medical doesn't stop your dreams (it gets crazy expensive the older you get).

I always held aviation safety in super high regard (rightly so) however a real level setter for me was when I was told to check the fuel in the 152. I jumped in expecting a fuel guage, when Ivan my 6ft 8 instructor gave me a broom stick with some marks written on with Sharpie to dunk into the wing :D :p

Yeah that is what the ladder was for so I can dip the tanks as "The fuel gauge in these isn't really accurate". :D

I already did my class 1 medical last summer and all is good. My Cholesterol was a little on the high side but have given up all sugar since then and my last blood test in December went down by 2 points so all good now. :)

That's mega - you got the bottle to go out on your own? I didn't do enough lessons to get the confidence to ever consider I could do it on my own :cry: :cry:

My girls mate is a pilot for Easy Jet. It's bizarre how normal of a bloke he is; to think of him flying that chunk of metal in the sky with 100s of folk on :cry:

I cannot wait but also I don't want to do it till my instructor thinks I am safe. I did my first circuit today without any input from my instructor so I can technically do everything that is required to take off, go around and land but to do it reliably and correct will be another 4-5 hours of circuits I would say :). I need to pass my Air Law theory before they will let me go solo too which is a bit of a grind. :)

Yes I have a yoke, pedals and throttle/mixture but use it mainly to practice radio and procedures which it is very good at so I am not wasting time and money on those things so when I have my lessons I am focusing on flying the plane. At least in small aircraft the simulator is no where near the real thing but when I start navigation I think it will come into its own in that respect.

Been a while.... Anyway, I'm now 4 years into ownership of my 2018 TTRS. Apart from the 2 grand front disc and pad swap it has been surprisingly cheap and ultra reliable to daily.

Here it is, enjoying some lovely North Yorkshire Moors roads, much nicer than the moon surface of Surrey it usually has to endure.

The Mrs and I are looking at one as a fun daily option (she had a standard 2.0 TFSI when they came out). Not had a 5 pot car either, so need to scratch that itch :D

Does it come with carplay as an option (wired I presume)?

I'm also not a fan of the 20's either, plus I like having a tiny bit more sidewall to absorb the holes in the road. The 19's come with 245 wide tyres for some reason, while the 20's get 255. I soon stuck a set of 255/35 Conti SC7's on there. The 255's were about £40 a corner cheaper than the 245/35's. And yes, mine came with (wired) carplay, I think it is standard at least on the RS after 2016.

Well, almost. Did plenty of shopping around, this was the cheapest quote I got after asking around a few Audi specialists.

Turned out the cheapest place for the work was the Audi main stealer! (yes, this also surprised me)

I did look around, and found a few 'it's exactly the same as the OEM part honest gov', that were close, but not up to spec (looking at you autodoc). A few hundred quid is not that much over the life of the parts, and I'd much rather have something that is up to spec than something that's 'almost' as good.
