Show Us Your Motors!

Fake intercooler.
Are u sure it’s fake I don’t see why anyone would go to the trouble of cutting the bottom of the bumper out and replacing it with that mesh it looks far worse than leaving it standard. Have you had any mods done yet? How are you finding it? Paintwork and alloys look in good condition judging by the pic. Seems quite a bargain given the ridiculous trade prices of the ST225 at the minute

Quite an upgrade going from a Tiguan R line to an SQ5! Looks amazing in that blue and obviously an awesome car but damn those fake exhausts look ridiculous  don’t know why they didn’t keep the proper twin exhausts either side like the previous gen

Yeah, not sure either. Tis one of the main points the reviews were picking up on when I was researching.

Ah yeah, get rid of one cursed VAG by going for another!

The windscreen didn't crack on the drive home after picking it up so it's a better start already!

Zunsport grill the previous owner put on. It was missing a bumper undertray which I have to put on. Intercooler is definitely the standard one. Paintwork is decent has some small marks along with the alloys having some kerbing but it isn't anything serious.

Took me a while to start liking it to be honest, though now I am enjoying driving it. Mods wise is all happening next month. Just before pod meet so I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs. Should have a real airtec then.

Lol yeah that's a definite bonus!

Looks very tidy (though not a fan of the intercooler either).

Get rid of those tyres as soon as practical though, that's what Ford decided was an "appropriate tyre" to put on my mk3. Night and day to the replacements

Tyres are changing next week. Absolutely shocking tyres. Intercooler wise it probably won't have writing on it when I upgrade to the new one.

@Acme it won't be for pod.

And those tyres arent that bad. id leave the two best ones on the back and get some new for the front to get the power down.

They need changing mate. Some random jobbies and they suck. I have a pair of brand new fed 595's that I'm selling as they were for my old car but will fit these wheels. No point having them as the weather sucks. Won't get any heat into them.

Got rid of my Tiguan R-Line after just under 11 months. I swear it was cursed, had more problems with it compared to any other car I've had - glad to see the back of it.

Bought this at the end of January - had its first proper wash/polish treatment yesterday.

What is it with Audi and their Hexagon shaped front grills, interior screen surrounds and rear bumper exhausts.

What is it with BMW and the kidney grills and the M sport badges everywhere and the same radio 1-8 buttons from a 1 series in a 7 series and stuck on screens.
What is it with Mercedes and their rounded headlights and tailights and interior stuck on LCD monitors and fake exhausts.
What is it with Lexus and their odd interiors and their massive grills and fake exhausts and interior screen surrounds.

Picked up my new toy recently to replace my fairly highly modded Volvo S40 T4 that was unfortunately written off by some silly women!

It's 57 plate Volvo S40 T5, most will probably know the T5 block is the same Volvo 2.5L, 5 cylinder turbo that Ford put in their Focus ST/RS, so it's got the same grin factor in a more 'sleeper' image :)

86k miles, Custom plate, full Volvo service history, auto xenon headlights, auto rain wipers, Dolby Pro Logic II sound system, heated leather seats, bluetooth/phone, electric drivers seat and flip up child booster seats in the back - All for a grand total of £1900.

It needed the cambelt and other belts doing which costs quite a bit, fortunately I have family at Volvo who can do this cheap so used it as a good haggling point, also wasn't boosting properly on test drive but I was 99% certain it was just the £40 turbo control valve, so haggled a bit more off it.

I didn't want another Volvo, was actually looking at Focus ST's but this is about a third of the price of the ST equivalent and has a lot more toys.

Bargain  ST equivalent would have been at least 4.5k.
Ive always thought the S40 T5 with the sport bodykit and 18 inch alloys is a cracking looking motor. It has an old school Volvo look while still looking quite fresh.
I searched for one before i got my Focus ST but none with reasonable mileage ever came up for sale they are so rare. There’s a nice blue 2009 59 plate T5 on AT at the minute for 5k which is 2 years newer than what a ST Would be at that price I would have been all over it if I had of sold my Mondeo.
