Show Us Your Motors!

As posted before, I recently put a deposit on a Focus. My new job is just under 40 miles away, mainly A and B roads so I needed a new car as I don’t really want to use the FD2 for that sort of mileage.

I was in two minds about to get a £1500 banger or getting a loan and buying something a couple of years old. After working there before and doing the commute in an old Focus, it soon grew tiring so I fancied something fun to drive with a few toys. After looking around I found this Focus ST TDCi which ticks the boxes. Nice to drive, handles well, quite a few toys and reasonably nippy.

It won’t be staying this clean for long.

No plans apart from to put mileage on it and some car mats. Will do nicely as a daily and to park at the shops. The Civic will be retired to weekend and track duties.

You think those F150s are big until someone pulls up in an F250 :D

That really is nice though.

Funny you should mention an F250. :D

In Kingstons car park when I went on vacation, sorry business trip a few years ago courtesy of Kingston, yes I love my job getting to travel US, Europe and Asia all paid for. :D

When you can sit on the tyre, they are huge, styling wise though I prefer the F150 and the Raptors are something else, was in a Raptor January this year, absolutely mind blowing thing. :D

God, its a long walk, the perimeter of that. :p

Does it come with a security guard?

To us Brits they are cool, out in the US they are common as muck so its only us tourist that getting excited by such massive trucks. Can see why the US love them so much though, hired GM Tahoes a few times which are good, also did the Camaro SS 6.2l last time, next time going to hire an MY18 GT Mustang or a Corvette, though still need to hire a Challenger at some point too, just make sure its a V8, none of that twist and pish rubbish 2.0l or V6 junk. :D ;)

My American friends in the US associates Mustangs with rednecks. Weird how perception changes and we think of them through movies like Bullitt and Gone in 60 seconds.
