Show Us Your Motors!

Love that Type R. Will likely be on my shortlist in a few years time. I would love to finally own a car that is genuinely quick. I hope they depreciate lots :p House move is a priority at the moment though so its banger time :(

If you're over 30 no problem, insurance covers anyone over 30.

Reminds me of my old boss. Rocked up to work with a Bowler Wildcat one day, one of the guys in the tendering department mentioned that it was top of his dream list of cars. He literally handed the keys over and said take it home for the weekend.
He later donated the car to charity where it ran in the Dakar rally.
Sadly he passed away before he got to see it race.

Integro Insurance Brokers Limited are my brokers as I have a friend who works there and sorts me and many friends out for our insurance.

I can't recall who the insurer behind them is this year.

Thanks, so not something available to the general public then?

Should be, I'm just 'another bloke' on the street.

It's just bespoke car insurance and like all insurance is a risk-based thing. I get lots of benefits but I pay a premium that can easily be smashed online, even for household stuff. The reason I do this is that I am insured, as is my wife, to drive any car fully comprehensive to a value of £1m. I get the opportunity to drive nice cars through friends, so it covers them and me and means it's a painless process. If I bend one of their cars I cover the excess as do they if they bend mine. It also allows me to lend cars to friends and family without a worry and I get to chose where it gets repaired etc and get like for like loan car etc.

Most people won't pay the extra these things cost and I chose to do so this year.

I was genuinely surprised at how difficult it was- in my experience there’s very few roads anywhere that are good for much over 150. Best I ever managed was 185MPH but that was at about 5AM with literally nobody on the roads. I just don’t have the balls to pass any car at all at those speeds.

That is why I just went to Kendrew Barracks to play, yes it cost me a few hundred quid, but it would cost me that to drive Germany and back too, the advantage I got an empty run way with just shy of a mile to floor it from a stand still, still hit around 187mph, yes would have been nice to hit 200mph but would need more than 0.9 mile for that and at the time I was on the stock brakes which I had no confidence in. Saying that car felt great upto around 175mph, but beyond that it certainly felt alive and at the same time your fully away if something goes wrong at this speed its going to be a huge mess, though I still did about ten runs, it was addictive but it was also great fun handing so many other super cars their backside in what was considered the unknown underdog on the day. :D
