Finally bit the bullet and bought one of these bad boys. Been after one for a couple of years but things kept getting in the way, made a promise to get one this year when I was back in England. I won't get to drive it for like 2 months though while it's being shipped to NZ. Not my pics but will get some proper ones done when it's back over there. As soon as I heard this one I was sold by the way, he sports exhaust note is glorious.

What a car, NA V10 and manual. Could not believe when I was looking other day with Kindai that V10 manuals are slipping to mid 40’s and I can’t see them going lower and in fact been the ones that in the future go up in value been a V10 and manual.

Great choice and I’d certainly do the rear ass mods as per Housey’s car makes it look even wider from rear.

Mid 40's must be trade prices surely? I'd have to ask Father Christmas to put me on his extra special list of course! Whilst they are "just anther Audi" the R8 is a pretty special package.

The color coded rear looks good but then again the whole facelift rear is quite an improvement on the older ones. I wouldn't mind putting the facelift rear lights on mine.

I didn't see any V10 manuals for mid 40s when I was looking. That would be a ridiculous bargain surely? I would hold out for the V10 paradigm!

What does shipping and import to NZ cost? A lot less than purchasing one out there I presume? (If you can even find one)

Bargain!

Shipping was 1.2k, 700 insurance and then customs will want 15% of the cars value plus shipping. The weak pound was also good timing.

They do have have a couple of V10s in NZ but I've rarely seen manual for sale. They are all R tronic. The manuals fetch a large premium. I saw a manual V8 one recently for about 120k nzd which is about 60k, I'd expect the V10 would be about 70k.
