Show Us Your Motors!

Seriously though I mainly use mine when going through roadworks or when on smart motorways and the traffic is busy and you have to do 50-60 anyway. It is handy but it's rubbish at anticipation, obviously as a driver I can see someone looking to change lane before the computer does; so where i'd naturally ease off to give them some room the cruise sees the gap and can try to speed up before slamming the brakes on.

Thats what I wanted to know in terms of how good they have gotten. The one on the Karoq is decent but no roundabouts or traffic lights and the anticipation thing makes it uncomfortable in those situations.

All in all though its a nice system to have.

The one in the Skoda was excellent at anticipating other cars. It would actually show on the DIS that it identified cars in the lanes either side.

I'm intending to make a thread with some non-potato photos and with the roof down etc etc, but for now just taken a couple of pictures of my Performante I took delivery of last week.

Only have a few hundred miles on the clock so far, but the car is awesome. I can see this being a [relatively] long term keeper - it just does everything so well. You can be chilling out in strada, pootling around not really making much noise. Switch to sport and put your foot down and it's like a bomb has gone off. The relatively short gearing means you at least get to explore 3 gears worth without breaking the law too much (top of 3rd is ~85mph, compared to the 650S doing a similar speed in 2nd)... and the progressive power delivery is just willing you on to hit 8k+ rpm.

As a hairdressers' car, it's a bit heavier than the coupe but for me personally, where I'll probably only track it a handful of times being able to have the roof down to get a greater sensation of speed driving on the public road is a compromise worth having. Any way, just planning out what road trips I might be able to do next year. :D
