Would it not be better to keep the BMW stock and use it as a nice quick daily driver, and use the FD2 for track? An FD2 with a few choice bits and bobs will make an excellent track car.

My FD2 is track prepped already, 6 pots, plate diff, suspension etc. But as a base car it's worth £12-13k or so, it's a lot of money that sits in the garage for 90% of the year. That money is better put elsewhere.

Surely keep the BMW stock and use the FD2 on track?

Seems odd to have the perfect track car and then not use it on track.

Surely there will be change of circumstances and a new car within 3 months anyway? :p
M2! :p

Nah, I'm happy with my choice. Missed my F10 a lot and although the 1 series is not in the same league, the engine and much better interior compared to my ST will keep me amused. Being in a PCP will deter me from wanting to chop and change.

Crap pic but you get the idea with the new bling.

It’s marmite I know that. It’s just difficult finding a set of alloys for an e90 which are different but not disgustingly different. I don’t like the mv3/mv4 the 313s are decent but prone to cracking. Every set I went to view had a crack or had been welded poorly.

People run these in the states so I thought I’d try them. Maybe thinner tyres and lows with spacers on would help it somewhat but meh, I don’t even care lol.

2 months on, put way more miles than I really should and got a stack of Shell fuel receipts.

Still loving it...might be a keeper as I can't see myself ever selling it. :)

Really impressed with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports tyres.

Need to get them up to temperature first. Don't know if this is just a RWD thing in general but after that the grip is amazing.
