Looks good Gibbo, is it quite a bit firmer than stock now? 25-30mm seems a fair drop.

I can’t decide whether to switch my Cayman suspension to the full X73 kit, that’s only a 20mm drop. It’s non adjustable and I’m worried it will be too firm for the road.

On 15 clicks from firm it was less firm and like almost luxury in ride and though it handled fine it did not feel very gokart in its handling.

Id say around 11-12 clicks from firm is a similar firmness to stock but with vastly superior damping.

10 clicks where I am at is firmer but the ride quality is better if that makes sense as the way the Ohlins deal with bumps is pretty uncanny they have such incredible damping that bumps are ironed out and soaked up so well yet the car is clearly firmer and a lot more connected.

It’s suspension and just like sound it’s very personal thing and everyone likes different but they seem an incredible setup, I might try 5 clicks from firm just for the sake of trying. :D

S2k looks great. Total garage envy too:D

Starting on interior next on garage, gonna get the TUFF modular flooring flooring for it, then all interior walls white.

Having a third garage to the left built, gonna try to get the same garage door and paint grey to match the double and this will be longer, so plan to put all the snap on chest and drawers at back of that and maybe a quick air jack system and use that for working on cars. Then in the double just be a pair of cars and car cleaning stuff and the add on garage the S2K can move too along with all the tools.

The shed and all the chopped wood will be moved to behind the double. :)

Should look awesome, wwill be money we'll spent.
I'll be happy once the roof on my single garage no longer leaks :D.

Gloss black then?

The grill at the very least needs darkened out

Seen this on the Maxton website, all gloss black and I like it. Think this is the route I'm going.

Shadow edition grill on order, just need to find a local company to wrap the mirrors and canards.

Shame really, they are such nice cars. The silver canards and mirrors are an M performance signature item, it's what sets the car apart from all the diesel M sport ones.

I really don't get it. That looks so much worse than standard. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but why do people think a few quid in crappy bolt-on cosmetic mods improves a car that's had a fortune spent by its manufacturer to hone its design? 99% of the time it just cheapens the whole aesthetic.

That black splitter is serving literally no purpose other than to make the front end look more fussy, and the silver accents around the grilles and mirrors just look classier.

What colour is your car? If you have the dark wheels & tinted windows it'll look nice with a grey, black or white car in my opinion - but gloss black is tacky whether interior or exterior, perhaps there is a different type of dark wrap?

Dont say that we'll end up at carbon wrap again! :p

Few artsy shots of the s2k, the CR carbon lip is a bit marmite but I might get the upper part painted to match the body colour and leave the lower part carbon

Stock club-racer is body colour/flat black.

Always happy to see this car, but that lip really isn't for me.
As you say, with the uppers painted to match the bodywork it might be okay, but at the moment it looks a bit 'front heavy'.

Still, that rear 3/4 shot though

Yeah, the CR Lip is an interesting one, think it looks better in person. I'm still 50/50 on it but no pain in trying :)

There's a guy in US that has one in same colour, painted.

Your car is stunning, the carbon lip is not to my taste, it looks better painted for sure, but I'd probably just skip it all together, but I have gone very much for an OEM+ look on mine, as probably wont make any more changes to mine now looks wise now its lowered, mine could do with being spaced out more as I only have 3mm spacers as any bigger would be unsafe and the bigger ones add weight. My only future plans now are a remap and maybe a shorter final drive ratio but the remap with VTEC around 4000rpm will hopefully be enough. :)

Personally I think it looks best without - but yes, that looks much better.

Must mean 30mm spacers, surely?

Nope I mean 3mm, the hub lip on the S2000 is very small, it is about 5-6mm, so a 5mm spacer means the wheel no longer centres on the hub. And the only larger spacers for S2000 seem to be like 20mm plus which would be too much and are adding weight. I will have another shop around but I don't think basic 10-12mm hubcentric spacers with longer bolts exist for S2000 but I probably did not look very hard as I am not overly keen on adding large spacers and at the moment the negative camber will be out of spec so once alignment is done the wheels will sit better anyway, less negative camber.

Ah right, I'm not used to dealing with spacers which aren't 15MM+ , those generally have their own new centre hub lip.

Is it actually unsafe to run a car with the wheels bolted on but not located on the hub lip? I didn't think it was. I thought it was mainly just to help locate the wheel until the bolts are torqued up. Hence adapter spigot rings generally just being made of plastic.
