Maybe the SportContact 6 was a massive improvement, but the 5P, which to be fair only had about 4-5mm of tread of them when I bought the car were utter trash in the cold & wet for lateral grip at least. PS4S is in a different league!

I've got Conti 5Ps on the front of my car at the moment and they're not bad. Of course the C63 is quite new to me so I haven't tried then out as thoroughly as I normally would and can't compare them to others.

However, there are a pair of PS4S going on right now so I'll be interested to see the difference. £250 fitted for 235/35/19 which I was quite happy with!

Nice upgrade. I run 355mm on my FD2, OEM is 320mm. Probably overkill but I've never had any issues with the brakes on track.

Nice car, my mate has exactly the same also in yellow in Oz.

Yeah definitely warranted the upgrade with the power increase! Very keen to take it out on track again.

Nice, the mk5’s seems to be super popular everywhere other than the UK sadly....same as the old mk4 really.

I have a feeling people will only realise how good they are when it’s too late and we are all driving EVs.

There are many amazing cars that get overlooked because people follow people and buy what others buy and plus it’s cool if your car has an Audi, Mercedes BMW badge etc.

The F-Type R/SVR are incredible cars out the box but again not many are sold whether it’s price issue or just image issue but not much will generally live with a stock SVR let alone one that’s been mildly breathed on but there again Jaguar do use aluminium that’s as heavy as German steel lol.

Like the sporty Alfa Guila Quadrifoglio all reviews generally prefer it to an M3/M4 but it’s generally overlooked. Still it means we can buy these amazing but rarer cars and have some exclusivity.

You are so right with that. I’m a big Merc fan but never driven anything that is truly a “drivers car” from them, the C63’s I’ve had are definitely more cruisers than sports cars.

I love the Guilia, just a shame there is no estate version yet.

Yeah the F-type is the most comparable car to the Supra on the market currently. (In before BMW Z4 comparison)

Fantastic looking S2K. I need to get myself another one! Here's my turbo FN2, Chavy compared to a lot of cars on here but I like it. :)

Except it wasn't the last N/A hot hatch was it?

The Clio 200 at least was released after the FN2 and had similar power from a normally aspirated engine.

Picking for the sake of it there in my view. When was the end of production anyway?

EDIT: I've looked, look seems end of 2011 then 2015 for the replacement turbo R. Clio hung on until 2012.

Clio 200 was a mere facelift. The 197 came before the Civic Type R in 2006. FN2 came out in 2007. FN2 was also facelifted in 2010 with an LSD.

You could also argue that the Suzuki Swift Sport was the last N/A hot hatch even though it was more warm but the ethos was there. Regardless they were all end of an era hot hatch.
