Also did a walk-around video too:

Every time we go somewhere in it the car pulls crowds of people over and those who get to hear it are just lost for words, easily the loudest car I've owned but it has such an amazing tone and soundtrack to it. :D

i do like the paint job on it, looks good !
Thanks. All the sign writing and art work writing is hand done by a man with a brush, an old art that is sadly fading away especially as most companies these days do their livery with stickers and vinyl wrap. Truck will be off the road next week for wheels refurbishing and wheel arches repainting then it'll be back to its best :)

Mixing the thread up with something a bit different. Change of Jobs back in February after 6 years with my old employer, spend most of my time trundling up and down the road in this now, a few of the better pictures from along the way.

Very smart bud, all I think about when I see a DAF is that annoying beeping they all seem to do with faults etc...

Mechanically they are strong trucks it's just the wiring that can be a weak area. I've always been in DAF's and they've never let me down apart from little gremlins such as levelling sensors and an oil pressure sensor, I had a clutch release bearing fail at 700k/km (Oddly enough on an auto box, this is a manual with 750k and still on original clutch) which is the only time I've ever needed rescuing. Our 56 plate spare unit has nearly 1.5m/km and still pulls like new

I drove 1 DAF but that was a 2013 model, very nice truck to drive with the Auto box, although it was an 18 tonne rigid so not quite as nice and huge like the one your in... Only other truck I drove was a Scania p450 XT tipper, that was fun

Nice what engine is it? Haven't been in an XF yet. We all have the smaller CF with that horrible split window! Although hopefully we should be getting the new ones soon. Much prefer these to the Actros at least.

Had a club meet at Mercedes Benz World last Sunday. Was really good despite the intense heat, 200 AMG’s there in the end and 50 of us got to do some laps of their track. Fair play to them they let us go at some pace in the end.

It's only a 460 but pulls well enough not very often I'm right up on my weight, 3 over 3 manual box.

I like a CF they are easier to drive in some cases but definitely not for living in and the split windows are dangerous when trying to maneuver in the rain. The Actros is possibly the worst truck I've ever driven.

If you have driven the mirror cam one then most definitely! The electric handbrake is bad enough but the mirror cams and the whole interference with the driving assist just drives me mad! Not to mention the auto box is just as bad as the old one.

Took these pair to Curborough today, huge fun !

Both huge fun but I think the Lotus edges the GT3 for fun on a small circuit but can certainly see how the GT3 has the extra potential on faster bigger circuits.
