Collected the car from the detailers today. Absolutely unbelievable...feels like a brand new car to me.

Even though it looked great in photos, the paint did have quite a bit of swirls, more in some places than others and I've always wanted to get a car detailed properly and then coated with Gtechniq.

Looks even better outside in the sun. :D

Just getting up to 1 year of owning it now.

Gained quite a few upgrades since owning it. Mountune stage 1 remap (330ps), short shift arm, EBC yellow stuff pads, Mountune exhaust, Direnza intake system and a GFB DV+ diverter valve. Just had a new set of Conti Sport Contact 7s which are awesome. Probably some lowering springs and spacers next, nothing too extreme, just to fill the arches out.

Also have this for knocking about in, dumping at the train station, runs to the tip etc. GF can drive it into all the curbs she wants with its balloon tyres.

My father had it since 2003 and pretty much gave it away to me. Just over 50k, passed an MOT a couple of weeks ago with no advisories. Due belts and front brakes soon but parts are stupid cheap.

How's your ownership experience been so far? Any issues or gripes? I've currently got a MK3.5 ST but looking to change in the next couple of months.

Considering an FK8, i30n and the MK4 ST. Keep swaying towards the ST and it's generous amount of kit, don't think I could give up the heated windscreen. Loved the FK8 but felt I was constantly in "attack" mode whisky driving it and worry that it might get a bit tiring, no heated seats or windscreen either...I sound old. Liked the i30n especially the facelift but similar in price to the MK4 and not really willing to stretch to the facelift price.

ST just seems to tick all the boxes, plus plenty of mod / tuning options.

No doubt I'll chop and change my mind countless times over the next couple of months.

Collected my DBX 707 at the start of Nov. Aston Martin Racing green with Sandstorm/onyx black interior.

Ticked over 1200 miles now and the car is phenomenal.

I post mainly on PH now.

Got another Supra (new 22MY with the suspension/handling updates) for playing about on track. It's not standard anymore:

Thanks!

Both are incredibly accomplished cars. Both a lot sharper to drive than their original release versions too.

Have the looks of the MY22 Supra changed? I am either just getting used to seeing them more or that just looks so much better, so much more Supra!
The Aston is stunning in that colour. :)

Thanks, it was the only colour option for me(Aston).

Supra looks the same other than the updated forged wheels, same style as the Yaris GR. obviously the wing was a personal addition :D

Your plate is super handy because I still can't tell quickly whether E63 or C63. Looks great. Still love the pan america grille but not bold enough to swap mine over :D

i30N has had it's share of gearbox issues with 5th and 6th and the pre-facelift isn't very tunable, the facelift has a different turbo.

No issues with mine, it'll feel very familiar to a MK3.5. Some of the interior materials are a bit crap but that's the same as any hatchback now - the steering wheel and seats are great. Driving modes do totally transform the car, sports mode in the MK3.5 would just alter the traction and stability control. In the MK4 the drive modes alter the throttle response, weight of the steering, the brakes and the suspension, it's just a shame you can't have custom modes so you can have the softest suspension but keep everything else in sport.

Remap and intake will see around 330bhp, for more you'll need a sports cat/gpf and intercooler for 360bhp.

Nearly bought one of those

What are your thoughts on it so far? The colour is great
Yeah i like it. quite a firm ride, 18" wheels would be better, but i didnt like the 18s as much. i'll get used to it.

the dealer loaned me an M235i, (the gran coupe, so its a 1 series with a coupe boot) for a week as i sold my car before this was ready, and it was a bit fussy to drive, though i couldnt figure out why. this has none of that. feels lighter and "more basic" but in a good way.

It was a good deal at the time. £100 less a month than the i30N i was looking at on the same PCP figures. Its an amazing deal at the current prices and interest rates!

Gibbo invest in some solar panels + battery. Looks like you get good sun on the roof.

Yeah the neighbour next door earns quite a bit from his has his house uses less than the energy they pull so the grid buys it back from him, he does quite well from it. Not sure if that is possible any more though on modern setups, if it is I would seriously consider it because yes the house gets sun all day long in the rear garden.

May through to September ours has paid for elec/gas. I wouldn’t go without it if we were to move again. Look into it, it’s worth it imo.
