Unlikely just to be gas

In my experience, AC issues generally fall into 3 categories.

1) Major leak / failed compressor etc that won't be fixed with a regas.
2) Absolutely nothing wrong with the system but needs regassing as it's normal that they lose a tiny percentage of gas each year.
3) Very minor leak that requires a regas every year.

I've had about a 50% success rate with regassing so it's always worth a try before moving onto more advanced troubleshooting.

Never had to replace any parts on a air con fault in any car I have had. Pressure just likely too low to kick in the compressor.

but yes just regass hopefully

The cynic in me however thinks that with it being an old car, probably with a few owners, someone at some point would have already tried a regas.

Possibly more likely to be condenser damage on an older higher mileage car.

Not everybody uses the air con.

Also spring summer autumn winter I leave the air con option on.
Keeps the system ticking over.

The cynic and the possibly well could be endless

Anyways will report back once I book it in.

She's been driving a very basic 2007 Renault Clio for the last 6 years which was falling apart, so we got this as her new commuter. I'm not really into small cars but I really enjoy driving it so far :)

I also replaced my S40 T5 with another T5.... joining @Raymond Lin with a quirky C30. It's a little 'chavved up' from the previous owner but immaculate inside and out and very well looked after - It's becoming quite hard to find a tidy T5 these days.

Nice you found one! I can see at after market exhaust too, guess it has different intake as well? Did it come with the T5 plate? (I think I should put mine on…)

And yeah, the rear wiper delete is very popular on the C30 group for a “sleeker” look, they just not like rear visibility in the rain/winter, or just loving manually wiping it every day.

What does it come with spec wise? Winter pack?

Yeah, it's got a custom stainless steel cat back system, it sounds great from the outside but drones on the motorway so I'll be adding a resonator, or replacing the whole system from the turbo back to something more subtle.

It's got the winter pack, convenience pack, high performance audio and the sports chassis. It came with the T5 plate :)

Oh I have that one, I think I also have comfort? The one with the turning head lights and rear parking sensors.

R-Design should mean it has the sports chassis though I think?

Did you get a manual too?
I've no idea tbh, I always thought the R-Design was just the 'body kit' and styling stuff.

The sports chassis is listed as an option extra on the invoice I have from the first owner, who paid a whopping £23k for it in 2011 :D

Mine is a manual :)

Even better, amazing you found one today, very hard to find, mine is an auto which was a £1500 “upgrade” from manual.

I think if this car is still being sold today it’ll start at like £25k.

The only other car I keep looking at to change from this is the 130/135/140i or the 5 pots Audi A3/TT variant, all of those costs are more costly.
