lol annoying -- is that a lease / salsac car as well?

Enjoy your fine + processing charge from the lease company for forwarding it on lol

Nope :)

But yes, still annoying. I wasn't meant to be there, but something came up and I forgot about the car. Oh well.

Picked this up today. A 2016 JCW, no other reason for the change other than I've always fancied one.

Nice! Since my boy was born my MX-5 usage has gone from extremely low to non existent. Tempted by a Mini Cooper-S as a replacement as a bit of fun.

Practicality won't matter as I've got the company issue estate but it would open up the possibility of us all going out in it. My wife doesn't even like the idea of me taking the boy out in the MX-5 due to its lack of crash protection :(

I'll probably have another change of heart as I was considering a 4 series not so long ago :o

Pfft. My adult nephews most formative memory is hitting speed bumps at ~30mph in a Saxo VTR  :D

Yeah its a bit of a shame, I'm sure he'd love it.

Well... for a few years until he decides that his middle aged dad is tragic in his gay midlife crisis car
...........that he isn't even allowed in "for reasons*"

I do like the mix of analogue and digital rather than full digital.

Been too slippy to draw any conclusions really, and as good as the dealer was to get the wheels refurbished and the car serviced they stuck a pair of new budgets on the front so I’ll probably get a set of new tyres once there’s a decent deal around.
I had the F56 JCW and it came on terrible OEM Pirelli Cinturato Runflats. An absolutely dire tyre that was only fit for a Mini One level of power. Once I stuck some PS4 on the car was mad fun. The pro exhaust also took it to another level.

Throwback shot...

It's got the runflats on the back, and the budgets on the front so not very confidence inspiring. Booked it in for a set of Contis in a couple of weeks. Not sure about the pro exhaust, seems loud with the flap open and quite tinny with the flap shut. Need to hear one IRL I guess.

Have you heard it in person?

Sounds anything but. Videos don't do it justice.
I ended removing the boot carpet and divider board, and the rear seats down. It sounded absolutely lovely and let's in all the subtle sounds too.

Let’s be honest though, it’s an IL4 engine, it’s never going to sound great. Just do what you can to get it a little sporty at least, without being obnoxious.

Let's not get it twisted. I didn't say it sounded like a v10. I'm comparing it to the stock setup.

The Pro exhaust does sound pretty good I'd have one over a stock exhaust, it was not wife approved when we were looking she thought it was too much. The Pre LCI stock exhaust is also a good balance of noise/drone etc the LCIs sounds pretty poor in comparison due the EU noise limits coming in. We have a LCI without OPF and it's quieter than the Pre-LCI, the OPF JCW is then quieter by a similar level to the non OPF LCI car.

It is a good all round car and fun to drive, best engine of the small hot hatches but a Fiesta ST is a sharper drive down a back road.

I had a MK7 Fiesta ST which was great fun but you always felt sat 'on' it, and the suspension was overly bouncy and fussy at low speeds.

Last year I filmed with CarWow in London for the I expose how new cars are too FAT! video.

Was a blast with Mat and the team. I was so worried about how the car looked on video so took all my cleaning gear! Came out really well and taken back by the praise for my old M3. We've actually shot a drag strip video a month after - In December. Look forward to how that comes out.

I watched last week - the whole time I was wondering who volunteered their car for this knowing it might get damaged. Did you have an agreement that they'd pay for any damage?
