99% of cars will be ruined this way.

Did you lower both ends? If so you end up with a very flat handling car especially at the rear, great for tracks. Where I live its nothing like a track.

OE suspension is generally the best for road use, even aggressive. If it isn't, try a better car.

Not trying to come across snotty, I've actually got two of the same car. One lowered 40mm the other stock. I can do things in the OE suspension car that would throw the lowered one off the road. If I could race myself in both cars, the lowered one wouldn't have a chance.

I suppose its all down to your preference and experience.

This is what annoys me when people on a certain make specific forum complain that their car is undriveable/skittish on B roads after fitting coilovers and track polybushes. Unfortunately 99.9% of road surfaces are nothing like Brands Hatch.

Agreed. Although nowhere near as bad as most "average lowering kits", the uprated suspension on my MX5 does mean it can be a bit of a handful when giving it some beans over poorer road surfaces.

These are coilovers wound all the way down, so much so they've had to remove the arch liners and the the rear wheels are like /____\ to make them fit in the arch. Fail.

I think my bloated hatch is a lot better off on the suspension it's on now than the OEM nasty stuff.

Isn't that just because the old suspension was knackered? Most suspension refreshes are going to feel better than it did on the 12 year old original stuff.

It's that age old people liking what they like thing again... If you don't like what the next man does, then tough, go move on with your own life.

Why bother saying this?

Unfortunately these people are both stupid and women.

I love how the Teg rides with it's coilovers, superflex bushes and fast road setup. I'll show you @ the meet in March, but you better have your Alpha boots on.

:D

Ignoring the suspension modification comments, I actually thought that corsa looked quite tidy :p

Thanks for the nice comment :D

Lowering has helped it drives more how I would prefer less floaty at motorway speeds and with the other bits it actually goes round corners pretty well for a tail dragger.
The brakes are large yes but id rather be able to stop quickly than accelerate quickly. They were originally from a 2L vectra so I carried over the callipers and carriers the rest bolts on as normal. Also the camber issues you get from lowering have been eliminated I think the front right was 0.7 of a degree from its stock value ;) Perfect example I recently had my fronts changed after 12K which on Yokohamas is pretty good going.

End of the day I appreciate its not everyone's cup of tea. But for me it does exactly what I want.
Also a little unexpected surprise lurks in the boot, if your into audio these will tickle your fancy

I feel its been a mild comeback as it were better than I've had elsewhere!

Because people don't like hearing it, or admitting it.

They don't like hearing it because 'you don't like what the next man does, then tough, go move on with your own life' is a stupid comment in an e-forum context.
I learnt that when I was about ten, but it doesn't exactly help the premise of a discussion forum: discussion. He made it sound like disagreeing with something, was a psychological disorder that requried professional help in order to be able to carry on about your daily lives :D.
