Show Us Your Motors!

Well i have been driving it around and i think its pretty good tbh. a lot better to drive then my other cars.

Just how rubbish were your other cars?

My brother used to own a MK2.5 punto and it was utterly terrible, I nearly killed myself in the wet on a roundabout doing less than 15 mph.

And this was caused purely because you were driving a Mk 2.5 Punto?.
It just didn't do bends, to the point that it felt incredibly unpredictable, regardless of the bend (not just the roundabout). I wholly expected to not have to come to a complete halt just to negotiate a roundabout.

I've never had such an issue with any other vehicle, ever, and I owned a P reg Corsa as my first car!

That just sounds more like you were driving it like a knob really, thousands of regular motorists manage to not almost kill themselves at sub 15mph speeds in these cars daily.

Well the fourtrak in the background and a 92 or something Fiesta.
I can assure you that the Punto is a better car regardless of if people on here don't like it.

My MK2.5 Punto was the most predictable thing I have ever driven

You could easily tell when it was going to under-steer etc.

I wouldn't doubt that he's lying. Any faster than 15 mph on a wet roundabout in my punto and you're starting to head in a straight line regardless of where the steering wheel is - I blame the tyres (165/70/14).

Ah, right. It's just that we owned a Mk 2 Punto from new for about 9 years as a second car / runaround for the wife and I'm pretty sure I managed to negotiate a few roundabouts during that period of time at varying speeds up to, including and over 15mph without suddenly managing to lose control of it. ;)

Race bred driving skills tbh.

My ex had a Punto, hateful thing to drive. It was amusing rather than scary or deadly though, the comical lack of grip or composure :D
