So surely the term 'cut slick' is wasted on people like that anyway? :p

Nice sounding Clio, but weren't you going a bit fast on that dual carriageway if the tyres are useless in standing water.

Brave - both going through that lake and driving like that on track day tyres :p

You won't catch me ever driving my car through water that deep. Id' rather find a detour!

It was literally a case of go through it or stay in bognor for the night, every road out was either heavily flooded or closed. There was about 10 cars behind me in a line, umming and arring whether to have a go. I saw the discovery coming and though "sod it, here we go".

The video sort of proves how over exaggerated R888's are in the wet, i didn't even wheel spin going through the big flood and the tyres were immersed in water!

Well they won't, the water is creating a lot of drag around the whole wheel.

The tyres are irrelevant when the wheel spokes are trying to act like a water pump

Did you not worry about water getting in the exhaust?

I've driven through the odd puddles of standing water (6 inches deep may be) but not something that splashes over the bonnet!

indeed, seems a little nutty unless your sure where you intake is in the engine relative to the water - with all this flooding it might be time to double check :D
