Did you not worry about water getting in the exhaust?

I've driven through the odd puddles of standing water (6 inches deep may be) but by something that splashes over the bonnet!

Well seeing as an exhaust exhales gases, I doubt it's going to suck any water in. You just need to look at where speedboats have their exhausts to realise what a non issue it is ;)
 
indeed, seems a little nutty unless your sure where you intake is in the engine relative to the water - with all this flooding it might be time to double check :D

I was unsure of the positon of said intake when I drove through some water of similar depth to the one shown in the video. :(

It was either go through it or not get home :p

It wasn't that deep, 1-1.5ft in most places 3ft at its deepest. I waited for something big to come along so i could follow it through. The discovery moved most of the water out the way!

First one i almost got stuck, started to float! :p I have cut slicks on at the moment so pretty useless in standing water.


Hi, why do some drivers drive that fast through water, are they completely stupid or what?
