I didn't even pay £27k either!

Just had some stone chip protection fitted to the front clam. Looks good, but on close inspection it's a little loose around some edges and dirt+water got in. Taken care of the worst of it though. Guess they should have mentioned it needed more than 30 mins to set properly...not that pleased with the job. Darn miserable weather today.

Brand new car, take it back and ask for it to be redone. Leaving dirt and crap under it will just ruin your paintwork.

First car :D

2002 1.6 16v Vauxhall astra MK4 CD. Picked the alloys up from south-end on sea (i live in Bury St Edmunds) on Saturday along with an irmscher boot hatch spoiler (not fitted yet) got the car for £400. Fairly tidy with a little bit of bumper scrapings and a little dent on the O/s passenger wing. Needs a exhaust flexi bit and a rear window wiper motor but other than that its fine. That and needing a good clean.

^^^

In need of a new camera though :D

My new daily driver

It's a Lotus Elise S3 in Arctic Silver, with Touring Pack, A/C & Black Pack (wheels and diffuser). Still running in right now, but what a car. Beautiful, quick (enough for any roads) and surprisingly cheap to run. Not to mention excellent residuals. Anyone thinking about the GT86/Z4/Cayman etc. as I was, try one of these too....

Awesome purchase Alex - handling is king nowadays imo, there's only so much power you can use on the public roads in everyday conditions.

My brother has an older 111R. Been out in it only once and it was fun.

Only pic I have of it:

£400 for that Astra? Is that all they're worth?! That's a rather good find and a proper way to do a first car!

Think you need to clean the lens on your (phone?) camera EyeDot :p

Thing is, the engine does better fuel economy, which is better for your wallet. It has a better CO2 rating, so is better for your car tax, and thus better for your wallet.

It still does 0-60 in 6 seconds and 127mph and has the same 134bhp

Whats not to like ?
