I was using a triple CRT setup when Matrox released the G450 years ago ;), paired with an old permidia gpu so I could run 98se over 3 screens, and my first 15" tft cost me £700 :o and was about 4inch deep as well lol, no silver and black beauty's out then, mine came in beige.

Yes indeed the market really has changed so much in the past 2-3 years and the prices....

After year of looking at that desk, I finally decide it will fit in my small office corner, and it's all gone! :(

Did you find anything else similar?

Yeah I bought the Melbury home office package from MFI, bit dearer at 360 pounds but it looks absolutely stunning. You get a 4 drawer desk, a 2drawer desk, the corner desk and a hutch. The build quality is absolutely superb. TBH I didnt think Id' use the hutch, but it makes the desk look a lot better.

Certainly is. Just ordered mine for delivery this Thursday.

I was lead to believe that the company that made them went out of business...

Yeah, that was posted a little while back, not sure what gave them that idea though.
Hope you enjoy your new desk, the picture Argos use certainly doesn't do it justice. Still very happy with mine :)

Argos did - someone contacted them to find out when they would get more stock in and were told that the supplier had gone out of business.

Well form the pictures on here, the set up looks great. Certainly looks better quality than the price.

I actually have the draw filing unit so I know it's good stuff. That top piece is something like 2 inches thick!

Yeah, I have the Argos desk (corner unit, draws and double cupboard) and, when compared with some of the much more expensive desks out there, the quality isn't half bad! I've actually been modifying mine recently. I attached the top parts of the desk differently so there's about a 20mm overhang at the back to account for the skirting board (so there isn't a big gap between the desk and the wall). Also, the post thing at the back of the corner unit which supports its weight has been cut about a bit so, instead of coming to a point, its inverted and actually goes back on itself so I have more room under the desk. I'll try and get some pictures of it up at some point, but it means my computer case fits in much better giving me much more leg room.

I wasn't sure where to ask this, but I've read that you can fit two windows side by side with 22" monitors at 1680x1050 - is this possible by just rearranging the windows and manually resizing them, or is there a tool that can easily do this for you?

Can't you just right-click on the Taskbar and select "Tile Windows Vertically/Horizontally"?

You can automaticallyish do it if you have a nvidia card, download nview drivers then you can draw lines on the screen splitting it up and then by alt clicking maximise ythe window will automatically fill that area

Ultramon can also do it. It's a must have app for dual screen users. It gives you the option to maximize the window to a single screen or to the whole desktop.

Nice StevenG,

I've got the VGA version of that Sharp projector.

Had it since i was 20 and it's still on the same bulb 7 years on.

Projected a 120" image from a range of about 3m.

Not the brightest projectors but still gets great results!

Made the most of GT4 on PS2 using it! ;)
