Finally decide I'd ditch the desk stand for my dell 2001 and got the Vogel 426 wall mount last week, only just got around to installing it but I have to say i'm loving the extra space on my desk !

Just need to sort out the cabling :o

Its not a big kink if it even is so I'm not that bothered - just glad to be rid of the fugly stand :p

I didn't see that one in Tesco's when I did a search, but I think I would have still gone for the Argos one, and paid the extra. The thick tops (over 1 inch) really set it off (and makes it very heavy!), and I think I like the look of the Argos one overall. Plus the Argos parts will 'bolt' together, so the whole thing lines up perfectly and makes it all very sturdy, forgive me if the Tesco one does the same. And there may be more choice of pedestals for the Argos one, more could be added later.
Up to you of course, Tesco's would save you money. As for the hutch, I was thinking of getting one, as I could do with a monitor stand, but I don't think it looks right on the corner desk, and I have a window on that side, so left it out. As it turns out I think I like it without, more open desktop space is nice. The Tesco one may fit fine on the Argos desk, but may no be an exact match, difficult to say.
Hope you get yours sorted either way :)

If you need any more info one this desk give us a shout....

Hi Richierea, excellent choice of desk there and its exactly what im looking for. yours looks great in you photos above. could you or anyone else just clear something up for me. what exactly are they meaning by pedastools? are they meaning you have to buy a little draw set to sit underneath the main corner desk to support it at either end??

thanks

I can answer this for you, if you like. Basically, the corner piece isn't a stand-alone unit. You have to buy pedestals for either end to "prop" it up. Pedestals come in a variety of shapes and sizes; there's cupboards, double-cupboards, multi-purpose unity things, draws, filers.. etc. I'm getting this desk in a couple of weeks, along with a whole new system. I'll post some pictures when i get it sorted. By the way, Tesco do a very similar desk, and a little cheaper, which doesn't require pedestals because the corner unti has wood stands and either end to prop it up.

My 2407WFP which I just received yesterday...£399 from an auction site.
A bit of a culture shock to say the least, coming from a 17'' IBM P76, to this mutha of a monitor. Well chuffed. =^>

You trying to see how much stuff you can fit on your desk before it collapses? Shouldn't be far off! :p

Hehe...yes it is a bit messy and could to with a tidy up. But the desk can hold the weight, as it's actually a bed. One of those kids single bunk beds with drawers and cupboards, which I've modded to make a desk....bought it for 50p. \0/
