Easy to play on low levels and a lot to learn to master it.
Civ 6 is probably best. Can't comment on 7
By best do you mean as in best for a new player because it was dumbed down so much?

6 (with a few mods and all the DLC) presents a lot of information upfront, making it a very easy 4X game to see a path from start to finish. It was a lot of fun in that regard but also lacks some surprise, an old mate of mine used to hate the last 1/3rd of the game because you could see you won and there wasn't much joy in playing it out for him, which a few thousand hours in I can see.By best do you mean as in best for a new player because it was dumbed down so much?
On past Civs, in multiplayer, on Marathon, on the largest map sizes, our matches would last monthsHow many hours does a campaign normally take? depends on diff I guess.

Turning off the high resolution UI (or whatever its called in the options) helps a bit, still a crap UI but makes it a bit more tolerableWho ever designed this 7 UI needs to be shot.
It looks utterly childish.
I feel like I'm playing in 800x600 at 1440p
Upscaling?
