New update and firmware out:

Sigma just updated its Optimization Pro software to version 1.1.

This updated version of software will allow customers to secure all the settings and adjustment values of AF and OS that are customized via the USB Dock.
Please update to Ver 1.1 before operating firmware update of 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC macro OS HSM C013 and 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM A012.

Optimization Pro 1.1 updates the firmware of the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM and Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM lenses.

Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Firmware 1.02 changes:

Refined AF algorithm to reduce the operating noise.
Improved smoothness of AF as it starts up and stops.

Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Firmware 1.01 changes:

Improved stability of the Optical Stabilizer's operation.
Refined AF algorithm to reduce the operating noise.

On the way! It seems the holdup was with paypal who for some reason decided to make payment with an eCheque which takes 5-7 working days.

yes them e cheques weird, and take ages to clear. best to cancel and pay again.

i like how they send pics of packaging item, a nice touch, everything ive bought from them ,they have done that. Also the price is higher now!

Another thing I've noticed is how well it comes with backlit situations, sure you get a bit of green fringing in high contrast areas but that soon drops off when you stop down to around f/2 and you still get decent DOF. I don't find myself doing much in the way of PP either with shots taken on this lens.

You can set up LR to insert a watermark during export to JPEG, that seems to be the normal workflow.

Yup mine is set up in Lightroom twice, one for left side watermark and one for right. depending on the image I just choose the relevant side from the dropdown on the export page.

The watermark itself is a PNG created in Photoshop.

It was delicious. It was very kind of bride and groom to sit us at a table. The bride said she gets annoyed when she hears how other wedding couples don't properly feed the photographer.
