Significant incident Plymouth

Well the police have announced an enquiry into him having a firearms licence so I presume the gun was legal.
I assume it will be a shotgun certificate, not a FAC he had. If he did have one I assume questions will be asked considering the stuff he'd been apparently posting online, and his mental state.

that's fine. but keep the firearm at a registered gun club. for sporting/pleasure use i believe firearms should not be allowed to be kept in the home. for farming/pest control reasons then that is fine. at least in my opinion.

But I'm not a member of a gun club.

If he had mental health issues and the gun was legally held in his name then the GP's and authorities have slipped up IMO.

As a shotgun owner myself I know that it if I go to the doctor or a policeman checks my records it immediately flags up that you have access to firearms.

I watched that last video of his before the channel was deleted and he wasn't using that term with regard to guns or killing people, he was using it with regard to never giving up with his struggles with life i.e. like a machine who is beaten down but just keeps getting back up, type of thing.

As soon as I heard him say 'terminator' I thought that'll more than likely be what people/media latch on to - https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/plymouth-gunman-calls-himself-ugly-24751678

I missed his vdeos - are they rehosted anywhere?

then no gun for you. make gun club membership a requirement of gun ownership for sporting/pleasure use. bit of an inconvenience for legit owners, no doubt, but keeps firearms in more secure central areas. i'd love to own a gun and could have one very easily but i would never want to store it in my own home.

But what if there's no club near me or I can't afford the fees?

Please do not share the videos of the killer, nor any photos of victims in situ.

If people want to find them, they know how to google.

Why help spread this guys message?

Tbh, the incel stuff doesn't have enough daylight on it. It's festering underground and radicalising young men to the point they do this sort of evil stuff. This guy will be brushed off as a lone wolf, a loner with mental health issues. The material and groups he's been exposed too are partly responsible.

then no gun for you. i'd like to own my own go-kart, one of them proper pimped out ones, but there's no tracks close to me so i've never bothered. instead i just go to one of those normal go-kart tracks from time to time where you get to use one of theirs. not as much fun but better than nothing.

What if the guy who owns the gun club decides to go on a shooting spree?

then he's got access to a lot of guns. not really much more i can say to that. you're other argument has fallen apart so now you're just posting stupid. go you. we won't ever remove the risk of someone going on a shooting spree but maybe lets just put as many barriers to that in place as possible.

Ban the recreational use of guns. Job done.
wait for - what if a farmer goes on a shooting spree - it'll be coming soon as the other arguments are falling apart.

edit: for clarity i don't think we should ban the use of guns for recreational purposes. but we should certainly be restricting where they can be kept.
