Siliconslave's how to make espresso thread

Does anyone watch the new costa Advert and think of This thread.

The one with all the monkeys playing with coffee equipment lol

If only they produced a cup like the one in the advert.....Costa is really bad.
The quality of the coffee varies between poor and terrible.....at least Starbucks automatic machines are consistently ok(ish)

Fixed it for you, Just change F to a P LOL.

I hate coffee with Milk but the one on the advert that looks like a leaf MMM that looks good

I've got a friend whose working in Starbucks (shes the fiancée of my best man - thus i can't disown her) and she gets so wound up by that advert - I quite like it, mainly cause i like monkeys and coffee :D

Coffee wise i don't mind Costa - find it generally to be one of the better high-street americanos however the Starbucks drip coffee is better than anything else - much harder for them to mess up!

Not sure how they train their staff, but when they serve you a drip coffee insisting it is an Americano, it's a bit frustrating.

It's worse the other way round. Ask for a filter, get an americano. The number of times I've tried explaining the difference and just been stared at blankly.

Looks like Hasbean will be selling Eva solo's soon, well there is a menu on the site but no products show up. Here's hoping.

I'm just about to order 2 Demitasse and Cappuccino cups with saucers :D, they look ace!

I've just ordered a couple of the cappuccino cups but I want some of those demitasse cups too.
I'll be spending a bit more money this week on coffee bits including a new tamp, tamp mat, knocking box, grinder and a nice new espresso machine :).

Can someone recommend a grinder for work use? Can be powered and will be grinding for an aeropress.

Needs to be relatively cheapish but decent - looks like the starbucks one is recommended but getting increasingly harder to come by.

The demitasse cups are great. They're made by Inker. Got one at the meetup form Mrs Hasbean as I wouldn't use the cappuccino cup.

What's the differnece between the two Flibster? Just the Demis being smaller I presume? :)

I'll order some with my next lot of Coffee. I would like a couple suitable for filter and some for Caps too.

I thought it was just me, but I'd noticed that too! Sigh.

I managed to lose parts of my espresso filter holder in the bin, whoops! Luckily managed to source replacement parts. One day I'll get a better machine when I have a few hundred spare!

Demitasse is ~3oz roughly and the cappuccino cup is ~6oz
For filter - just go with the cappuccino ones, demitasse would be far too small.
