Siliconslave's how to make espresso thread

Right.... I'm going to get a new espresso machine sooner than I originally said. I'm going to place an order by 11PM tonight but am torn between these two:

Quickmill Andreja

Rocket Cellini

This is such a hard decision to make that I will feel gutted no matter what I order :o So it will help out if anyone can point out which one you would buy.

Thanks.

Wow, they are really impressive. Don't think you could go wrong with either one, but I like the Quickmill for some reason.
I'm out of my depth at that kind of price, I though 250 was allot for my Gaggia....

Well it seems official: I'm allergic to coffee. All triggered by gastroenteritis in August. I stopped coffee, was fine and this is the second attempt at testing coffee, I have one cappuccino on friday morning and I spend the weekend in pain and regretting it.

Supposedly it can get better, so I'll squirrel away my Elektra and see in a year's time..

The Andreja piddles all over that particular Rocket :p

There is no wait between water/steam with the heat exchnager machines is there?

Please post pics Mark and let us know how the customer service is with Bella Barista :)

Quickmill Andreja - £1,149.00

I would be happy with the 149 pound to buy even a crap one to start with LOL  Can I have your old one :D

Fantastic! You've paid £1150 for espresso machine, so what grinder do you have to use with it??

Mahlkonig Vario

Yeah for a nominal fee! :p

I'd have a read of the coffeegeek reviews of them and see.

I notice the rocket hasn't been reviewed yet..

It was a tough choice, that's why I asked on here and I think the right choice was made, the Andreja has a few pluses over the Cellini. But, I do prefer the look of the Cellini.

I got a phone call from BellaBarista at 10:15am telling me I will have the machine tomorrow :D

So other than the Starbucks Barista which I can't seem to find to buy anywhere, what grinder should I be looking at in the £50-60 range? Or should I just go the whole hog and spend £140 on a Kitchen Aid one...

Spend what you can afford, a decent grinder makes a big difference to the coffee and is often overlooked. I'm sure someone here will be able to recommend a good grinder to suit your budget.
