Looks pretty much exactly like the weather from last year.. report the other day said thunder and lightning!Told my sister we'll take the brolly with the wooden handle.
Still need to email you about a trip over, but first I need to manufacture some time.
Yup that avoids most of the holdups.

Rosting hot today, but massive storm yesterday, evening, some parts still very soggy
Its been wet in the past and I don't think its been too muddy.
There are some of the carparks on the Southern side of the circuit which tend to get more muddy than other areas, but in general once inside the circuit its fine.
The people who do tend to struggle are always ladies who come dressed in their best heels. I think many naturally think Motor Racing is all glamour, the reality is that you have to do a lot of walking, plus a fair bit is on grass and possibly some mud.

Just got an e-mail from Silverstone advising all ticket holders of adverse weather conditions; they have brought in extra resources for helping with possible issues with car parking, such as drainage. There may also be changes to the usual parking systems of the past and bumper to bumper parking on the solid ground car park areas.

Yeah there is a tarmac road that goes around the outside of the whole circuit plus a lot of gravelled areas for spectators.
The mud is more of an issue for the camp sites and the car parking that usually happens in the fields, but it sounds like they are geared up for that. Sounds like those coming from the M1 side (such as me) will be diverted to some hard ground parking rather than sent into the fields like usual.

Some stunning girls working on there this year, bit "only way is Essex" though.
