Might have to buy another brolly looking at the weather forecast!

With a grandstand seat? 12:59pm :D

Genuinely tho, with a grandstand seat you can rock up whenever you like. GP2 and GP3 has been great so far this year though, so well worth getting there for those races. A good chance for a British winner in both.

Are you driving? The one way system works really well.

If your in a Park and Ride then getting in is fine, its the getting out that's the problem.

Friday is a breeze getting in.
Saturday is busy, but its easier if you go early, P3 is usually at like 9am or something.
Sunday is obviously busy from the go, so you need to allow time if you want to watch any of the support races.

One tip I've got for getting in.

If approaching on the A43 from the M1 direction, as you get closer to the circuit you will see signs on the central reservation stating that the right hand lane allows access for Media and Officials.

They have had these signs out for at least the last four or five years now. A lot of people who have never been to Silverstone see them and think it means they can't use the right hand lane, so they all move into the left hand lane, resulting in a bigger queue of traffic on the left side when you get to the exit junction which takes you to the circuit.

Also if you have tickets that allow you to use the East Entrance Car Park, which you need a VIP pass to do, then there is a route down some country lanes which nobody seems to use. It brings you right to the East Entrance where all the people coming from the other two directions have been queuing for miles. It gets you in so quick on Sunday, I'm not in Club Silverstone this year so can't use that unfortunately.

That's the road we always use. Jump off the A5 and take the back roads right into Whittlebury.

So many routes from London! Is the best route A5? M1? or M40?

If I come up the A5, off before Towcester or at Old Stratford, towards Whittlebury then across Whittlebury Rd, over the A43 into Silverstone village then A413 to the A43 Silverstone roundabout?

My tickets arrived this morning. Looking very lovely too

I'll be in row M on the Abbey Grandstand tomorrow. Presumably row A is the front and so on ?

Can't wait now :D

Looks pretty much exactly like the weather from last year.. report the other day said thunder and lightning! :D Told my sister we'll take the brolly with the wooden handle.

Still need to email you about a trip over, but first I need to manufacture some time.

Even if its bone dry tomorrow its still walking boots or wellies. The ground is wet enough already for it to be mud within minutes.
