Silverstone Fortress FT02B-W Owners, Your thought's please!!!

:D

You'll fit your set up in there comfortably, I'd have thought.

Did I miss an SSD on your component list or haven't you taken the plunge yet ?

If you haven't just buy one of. Alongside the FT02B-W it's been my most eye opening upgrade in the last decade. FT02B-W comes with adapters so you can just screw it alongside the back outer part of the drive bays too.

Picked one of the WRI yesterday and build my system into it , very nice case , quieter than i though with the H50 and the AP fans on low.

I changed out my fans to the AP's, it's just a case of taking out six tiny screws that hold the three low/med/high switches and unscrewing the three thumb screws that hold the fans in then slide them out.

OT, sorry. What did you do with the original 180mm fans as I'm after a third for a scratch build I'm planning.

Ive got the original unwindowed version but here are some pics for you:

Personally I love the case, never noticed the top fan noise as I immediately changed it for an apache which is great. It is true about the tight space behind the mobo but its manageable with some care. IMO the best case ive ever owned tbh, great to work with, very good cooling.

Hope that helps.

Sold all my w/c gear a while ago but got the urge to do it again.

I know this case isn't ideal for it so i'm just going to have 1x XSPC RX120 rad in the top for the cpu (push/pull Enermax clusters).

Going to just mount this pump/res on the rear 180mm fan under the psu near the window side here -

Will get some pics up when it's done. :)

Yeah that's the H50 for you though, plenty of air coolers beat by quite a margin.

I will be using a much thicker rad and a good cpu block, half the reason i'm doing it is for the fun setting it up as i've got good temps at the minute with my Venomous x.

I wouldnt go Water Cooling with this case at all.

I had a H50 in it and it was pants , at the moment i have a Zalman 9900 Max and it is cooler than the H50.

I nearly opted for a corsair H70 but then realized that this case only has one exit for the air so I went for the Thermaltake Frio. With all fans set on the lowest setting (case and cpu cooler) the case temp is a steady 30deg on idle. Plus it looks nice with the red fins matching my case.

This isn't really true, it only has one fan venting air yes, but the top of the case is perforated with holes to allow air out and since its based on a positive pressure system and heat rising, a huge amount of air gets out there :).
