Silverstone ft02

That's exactly what I did. It was actually 40 quid for 2 day shipping and after 7 days they didn't deliver it and lied about calling to the house and leaving a card. Oh well. I'll wait till OcUK get it.

They don't tell you the shipping till after you have ordered. So no, not mad or desperate. Anyway, usually something this heavy costs closer to 30 quid to Ireland. It's just that OcUK dropped their shipping costs considerably in recent times.

Bloody case showed up today from a different courier entirely. Can't believe it. Oh well....her indoors signed for it, so I guess I'm going to be rebuilding my rig this weekend.

You sound almost like you don't want it now !

Two things that I have found over the last few days are

1. The bottom of the intake fans have a metal mesh covering the fan blades for safety which is a good job as my kids keep on putting there fingers in the air intake at the base of the case.

2. Twice now I have leant my hand on top of the case & ended up pressing the power off or reset button.

But I really like this case. I have ordered a few mod parts for it will post pics when I have fitted them, I was going to add water cooling by removing the HD caddy so I could put a rad the whole length on the case but as it can only be 29mm I don't think it would be up to the job.

oh I am also scared to hell that I am or the kids are going to drop something small on top of the case like a staple as thats going to fall right on to the M/B.

It's still keeping my feet cool

As soon as you done building it.... no rest we want pix lol

Right I'm jinxed. Thumscrew missing on 1 side panel. I knew something was up as case was rattling as I was liftiing it out of packing. Plus and edge of panel where screw missing is chipped in at least 3 places, but that's not so bad as top bezel covers it. But there is faint scratch down side of case. Now I have to return it from Ireland to the UK and bet they will want me to foot the bill instead of collecting.

I keeping my HAF 922.

So far blue fans & 180mm fan guards I need to drill new holes for the fan guards, before I do that I will use some plastic resin to make the fan casing flat.
In the new year I will get parts of the case Laser cut if it can be done + braiding of the leads ect.... + do something with the CPU fans & more....
Got a Scythe Kaze Master Ace 5.25inch Fan Controller to install, will look nice with the blue theme & the blue power light.
The case will not have a DVD drive installed I will use a external one, keeps the case looking clean.
I don't really use a DVD drive only to install programs so it not a problem for me.

Damn my googling is rubbish, cant find 180mm grills anywhere.

Took me a good 2 hours of googling & jumping from site to site to find them, as I said they don't fit 100% you need to drill new holes.
If you can PM me I will link you the suppler, not sure if I am allowed to post the link here.

What's the noise like without the honeycomb things?
I had read that the honeycomb grill doohickeys reduced noise (on an RV02 though) - on SPCR, I think.

I'm also thinking I should have got the windowed model but whoever decided to put the window on the outside was an absolute genius! ;)

Been watching TJHarlows overview of this case. Looks interesting !

Well this case ticked at lot of boxes for me & luckly I had to get a new case anyway due to my old one being to small to take the Graphics Card & over heating.
This is the first case I have had with a window this is due to how my PC is placed I can only have a window on the right handside. I wanted to spend abit on a new case as I believe this PC is going to last me a good 5+ years as there so fast now adays. It's just a shame I had to buy a new PSU aswell that double the price.

I would say the Honeycomb grill does reduce the noise, I have only done one fan at the moment due to lack of time.
By the time I have put a radiator in the bottom the sound will change again but I will lose some other fans then.

You could put the window on the inside I think it maybe on the outside due to the 'Foam padded interior for advanced noise absorption' is right upto the edge of the window so you would need to cut some of it away.
Maybe to add a few extra mm to the inside of the case for large CPU coolers.

Nice clean looking build mate.

I really like the look of this case.

Thanks it helps that I only use one HDD & no DVD drive so limits the cables oh & one Graphics Card, going for the clean Minimalist look that the outside of the case gives.
Shame about the huge CPU cooler right in the middle, 6 months it will be water cooled I hope.
Shame its sat on the floor under the desk aswell.
