Just as an FYI and because im a plum and didnt realise.

Ive been smacked with a rather large import bill of £156.00

Anyone looking to order from Fanatec keep this in mind. Not a dig at them, i completely forgot about the whole brexit thing...................

what did u buy?
obviously vat has been added but what processing fee was there

Give the bill to whoever you know who voted for Brexit

The CSW V2.5 and Clubsport Formula V2 Wheel

Yeah i got an email from UPS last night and it said : "There are import fees due on this shipment blah blah blah.

The UPS website is dreaful, had to make a profile to make the payment and it was a ball ache.

Yeah its weird. When i ordered everything the total was something like 725 euros. But i went through an affiliate link and thought it was a discount or something. A friend did the same and his was about 900 euros.

I have been charged from fanatec 725 Euros which i paid for by paypal, then the UPS charge of £156.

Just gone on the website now and the cost is 919 euros. So no idea whats going on. To top it off the delivery has been delayed to Tuesday. (not a massive issue tbh)

@Cobra-UK
im just trying to learn whats been charged besides VAT thats why i asked, just wondering if UPS fees are base on a percentage or parcel size or a standard set fee
There is a set fee for processing the VAT bill

I think the website quotes the german prices including VAT (21%) so your final bill should be slightly less. I bought the PS4 elite wheel bundle plus load cell and paid 630 euros + 126 pounds with UPS (£11 fee)

My clubsport base and formula V2 wheel arrived yesterday. and yes I can confirm it's quite an upgrade from my old Thrustmaster T300.

I'm really looking forward to giving it a good session over the weekend.

T300RS, (Fanatec Clubsport V3 Pedals in the post) Using the paddles on the wheel for now until I find a decent H Shifter. Custom 3D Printed Sequential shifter from Poland, Chinese USB Handbrake. Not sure what to go for regarding the H Shifter.

I'm running a T300RS with upgraded pedals and H Shifter and Sparco handbrake.

Pedals and shifter are my next upgrade. I'm looking at the Fanatec shifter as it nicely swaps between sequential and H pattern

On the the subject of pedals.

I currently run with the CSL Elite Load cell pedals.

Is there a big enough step up to change to the Clubsport V3's ? Anyone made that switch ?

Short answer; no.

Long answer;
The V3’s are built better and potentially will be trouble free for longer as they use hall effect sensors over potentiometers on the Elites. However from an actual performance point of view, I think you’d be hard pushed to notice any difference. So I’d always say pick the V3’s over the Elites if buying now but don’t really think they’re worth the upgrade.

Thank you chaps. Yeah I've done a lot of research this week and most people come to the same conclusion. I'm going to get the sprints in the next couple of months.

Really loving ACC at the moment. I just wish the browser and online etiquette was better.

Yeah totally awful, it's like playing with 12 year olds. As for the browser bah I just want favourite servers.

Folks. I've been using the Logitech wheels for awhile a d thought it would be good to go up a notch.

I was trying to find bundles on fantec with F1 wheels but couldn't find any.

Any recommendations on how to proceed?

Upgraded on Black Friday from a G27 to Fanatec CSW 2.5 and Elite load cell pedals. Got the universal hub and podium R300 wheel also. Its been a huge upgrade and having done about 40 hours on Project Cars 2 I'm now really into ACC.

Im getting faster but still got a long way to improve...Got my ACC Brands Hatch down to 1m26 something at the weekend which I'm pretty pleased with.

Built a DIY rig some years ago which has now had to be reinforced! The next upgrade is going to be a Trak Racer TR160 when I've saved up - does anyone have any experience of these to tell if they are good value for money?

Good time to find this topic.

Starting to get back into sim racing, mostly Assetto Corsa and Project Cars at the moment. Have been using a controller but whilst getting better its not been great so looking to get a wheel setup.

Is the Logitech G29 a good starter setup or it is worth spending the bit extra for a higher spec unit? Plan on keeping it for a few years.
